Correct. Create a room and if people wish to join it they can, if if they don’t that’s fine.

Personellement, I think a steam group would be better, as you can have voice chat, and there’s no messing with

Steam is a peice of software that VALVe Uses to distribute it’s software. It has a community feature that is excellent, where you have a chat room with voice fuctions and the interface is a lot more friendly than IRC.
True. But for our fellow Mac users, they won’t be able to join in the festivities. I do clean installs from time to time, and I haven’t set up BootCamp because I can’t find the Windows install disks. So that means that a select few members without BootCamp or are using a PowerPC can’t use Steam.
Ah yes! how could I forget! Well, doesn’t steam work with parallels? but yes,maybe IRC would be better.

Well you can get little web apps that connect to IRC but they are on the site.
so we could have a chat room even though average posts are replied to in about 1 day. (that’s pretty good for me)

That would be cool but you would need to get acception (really well) and get people to use it more then just once a month.
Review-Great idea…but would require hard work and some user help to get it running smoothly and without problems…i had the same thing at Eggxpert but they are currently expiriencing some problems with theirs.
