Is there anything you would change in the movie CARS?

I think the movie itself was PERFECT. The

only thing I would have have changed (added to) was the tribute to Joe Ranft. They should have also shown RED the

fire engine (and Peterbuilt) cause he was the voice of RED.

Just curious to see what everyone else’s

thoughts are.

The one part I would have changed would be the whole part

with the Governator and Jay Limo and all… Some of the other ones, like the Japanese car, are fine, but those

two especially (and maybe a few others that I can’t remember due to not having seen the movie in a while) are

just too tied-in to a specific period in time and really seem a little… DreamWorks-y. I mean, they’re very

funny now, but down the road, not so much.

I’m in love with Cars. But in all good relationships, there are flaws, and I think Cars has a few of them,

especially in the beginning of the film.

First, I agree with DElf4242, and the pop-culture references,

especially to Jay Limo and Arnold, need to go. I also don’t really like Lightning McQueen’s dream sequences.

Second, I think the “Life is a Highway” scene through when Lightning gets lost is a few minutes too

long. I don’t like the gangster cars. I just with there was another way for Lightning McQueen to get lost.

Third, I’ve fallen asleep in the “Community service” scene when Lightning is just complaining about

how bad Radiator Springs is. I think the film portrays Lightning as a egotistic, conceited car in the first act

well enough. Last, Cars has way more credited screenwriters than any other Pixar film, some that I’ve never

heard of. Some of the one-liners in the film seem to be the result of Pixar trying to cram everybody’s ideas

into one.

That said, I rank Cars close to the top of my favorite Pixar films of all time, behind The

Incredibles and Finding Nemo. My life would still never be complete without Pixar’s Cars.

Very good points.

I guess some jokes may have to be “explained” 10-20 years down the road.

I like the Japanese tricked out cars, maybe it’s cause I have one

That’s actually the only thing I’d like to see changed as well. ^^

this one may be kinda odd, but, i’d change the last sence where Lightning &

Sally are at wheel well ( not the end credits) and instead of Mater interupting they’d kiss! :-* Yeah, my

changes are kinda odd. But if they ever made a C2 they’d have to make them kiss! If not I’d be mad! :imp:

Well there’s really not anything I’d want

to change. For a split second I kinda wanted Lightning to join Dinoco, since that was his dream and all, but I

realize why he doesnt. And I know it’s probably better that way.

If they do make a Cars 2

they better not ruin it. I can think of several sequels (not Pixar movies) that ruined the original.

However Toy Story 2 was pretty good.

Hmm…To be honest, I’d change Sally as a character. She

really, really annoys me, for some reason. Also, the Ranft tribute should definitely be added to.

I thought that too at first, but now… I wouldn’t change it. It was just too

darn funny! The audience cracked up, and everytime I watch it with somebody, they laugh as well. It’s such a

small scene… I really don’t see a problem with it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, I really don’t see anything that could be changed. Maybe a minor thought, but maybe

intensify the races?

stole the words

right out of my mouth ! except instead of mater not interupting them at all , he would interrupt them

while they were kissing . and they’d be under a tree . lol

and once again ,

like i said , in my fanfic i play with the kiss thing .

I

agree. Her character has to be developed more. For some reason, she annoys me too. ^^; But then again it’s rare

for me to be keen on the main characters to begin with- since we know so much of them and so little of most

secondary characters.

Why don`t yall like Sally?

To me, Sally is an okay character. She sounds sweet. And she is incredibly

caring too. I like that in her. And the fact that she is a Porsche makes her better.

Yeah.Thats true. 8)

And I for got to mention Bonnie Hunt did a well done job with her. All and all,

Sally is a great character. She just isn’t my top favorite, nor doesn’t make it in my top ten favorite Pixar

female characters list.

I like her cause

shes a cool nice person.

I feel ya, she isn’t one of my favorites either, just something not quite right

about her.

After watching this movie (again for the 30th time) one more change I would have

made:

When the crowd goes wild when they realize the Fabulous Hudson Hornet is back, It would have been

cool to have a shot of Doc realizing everyone is glad he is back.
