John Lasseter, you are the MAN!

“YEEESSSSSS”!

How amazing is it that the man best known for working for a company that made CGI respectable is the man who will save 2-D animation? I hope that they will reopen the Orlando studio, that created Lilo and Stitch, and bring back that magic that was lost when it closed.

You mean that studio shaped like a hat or whatever? No, I think they’re closing that - which is fine, IMHO, becuase the animators hated it.

No, the one that was dubbed “the Fishbowl”. which is not shaped like a hat. It looks like a regular building from the outside, and is located on the grounds of Disney’s MGM themepark in Orlando. I talked to several of the animators who were working there as tour guides in November 2004, after it was ALREADY closed, and they had nothing but great things to say about the place. Chris Sanders has been on record as saying that working there was one of his best experiences. For one thing, they were far enough away from Michael Eisner and his tyranny that they could actually be creative; that’s one of the main reasons why “Lilo and Stitch” turned out as good as it did. The animators got to interact with fans on a daily basis, and that helped, too.

They were not cloistered away in some dark warehouse. When Eisner decided to do away with 2-D animation, he shut the place down and fired most of the animators.

Definitely! It’s about time 2D animation came back into fashion.

2-D animation . . . and

hopefully with a story that rocks both the Box Office and the Oscars . . .

. . . it must be great right

now to be a Disney or PIXAR animator!

I think my heart

just SCREAMED with joy.

"In a town where sense is neither common nor actually sensible, I vote for everyone

drinking the same water as John Lasseter."

I want some of that water too! Woohoo! John Lasseter, I

loooooove youuuuuu!

Yesss!! 3-D’s good,

but I’m beginning to miss 2-D. They need new films done in that form.

A 2D film? This sounds

intresting.

The only reason Disney went to 3d is because they saw successfull Pixar was and

wanted in on the action. But now a new president steps up, and he wants to go a new way… or rather the old way…

and get back into 2d. I beleve theyre will be 1 or 2 mroe 3d films before the 2d actually comes in to start…

because… I mean come on, movies take a while espcially a 2d film.

Go Lasseter! I look forward to the return of good old

2D animation, and I’m very pleased to see that Lasseter has the common sense to realise that 2D animation can

return.

John Lasseter, you rock !! I cannot wait to see the 2D

animated films he’s gonna help write !!! :sunglasses:

Cool! :sunglasses:
