James cameron and David Fincher to do Heavy Metal movie

It’s both a reboot/sequel to the 1981 cult animated Sci-fi horror fantasy anthology classic and will be based more on the popular since 1977 adult comic magazine of the same title.

James Cameron and David Fincher are teaming up with other directors like Gore Verbinski, Zack Snyder, Guillermo Del Toro, Rob Zombie and Jack Black with three more to be announced. I hear it will have 10 stories this time in different animation from 2D, CGI, Clay, Stop Motion, Sketchy and anime.

Sounds good, i adored the original HM movie since i was 12 about 18 years ago when i saw it on TBS with Vampire Hunter D, Robot Carnival, Rock and Rule and American Pop and loved them. I’ve been a fan of the original comic magazine since 17.

And it’s animated!!! Sounds very interesting. :smiling_imp: Though I’m not sure I’ve seen any David Fincher movies. I’ll have to read up on him…

Same here. Sounds cool!! I’ve been kind of shaky on most of the comic book to movie adaptions lately, James Cameron can probably do it, though.

The man’s a force of nature! Though Titanic is a discredit, IMO. But I trust this will work out.

But has Jack Black ever even been a director?

Wait, Gore Verbinski is involved? I didn’t know that. :smiling_imp: This sounds awesome.
