Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution

From the moment of it’s premiere to the last episode of the season tonight, I have been an avid supporter of Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution. For those of you out of the loop, here’s the Wikipedia page:

The shocking reality is that this is the first year where children are expected to have a shorter lifespan than their parents. If you have watched the show, you know that this is not just a television show. It’s about life. There have been flashing messages on the air during the episodes to sign a petition that Jamie has put up on his website to get the White House to cement change when many people in burocracy don’t want change. He needs 1,000,000 votes. We are almost at 500,000.

I urge everyone here to go to this link, listen to Jamie’s message, and sign the petition if you believe in what he’s doing. I have just signed it myself. Let’s support this, and change America.

I’ve watched some of this, and I definitely support the idea behind it all. It’s a very important TV programme because it does affect everyone, really.

I’m actually surprised Jamie Oliver has made any headway with this. I remember his past efforts with this sort of thing, and though he had his supporters, a lot of people mocked him, too. Admittedly, he’s a very annoying guy, but he does have the right idea.
