Let’s see…a show that’s brilliant or a show that’s mediocre?
Ooh, what does THIS button do?
pushes the Dexter vote button

Dexter of course! Jimmy is better in other areas.
I don’t like Jimmy’s CGI style. D: It looks so… tacky.
So yeah, Dexter. I guess. I always liked that series.
I always used to watch Dexter on Cartoon Network when I was a little kid. I liked to act as Deedee whenever it came on because she was my fave character. I loved her obsession with pushing red buttons.
Jimmy Neutron, on the other hand, just never interested me.
…In other areas? I’m confused here.
Me: Which is better: Dexter or Jimmy?
You: Dexter, but Jimmy is better in other areas.
Other areas of what?
Dexter’s Laboratory was inspired. Jimmy Neutron? Just meh.
Aww. I sense some Jimmy hate here.
I could never watch Dexter for a long period of time. It just always creeped me out, and it still does Cartoon Network shows of the time period were always weird…
Dunno what else to say… I’ve just always loved JN.
Not to mention that a few months ago, I found out that the studio who animated Jimmy Neutron was only an hour or so away from my house. Unfortunately, when the show stopped, the studio went out too.
I would have to say Dexter. It has the high advantage of being one of the last cartoons that Hanna-Barbera actually made, along with Powerpuff Girls.
I actually like Jimmy more. It just caught on to me. I will admit though that Dexter is more original and has some cool design, unlike Jimmy Neutron’s mildly disturbing CG.
I read the question wrong. You said fight to the death. Which show is better?
I thought the question was Who would win a fight to death?
I voted Dexter! I was never a Jimmy fan, but Dexter was pretty cool!
They’re both cute but I like Dexter’s just a tad bit more because of Deedee with those 6 words of wisdom “oooh what does this button do?” XD
Jimmy Neutron annoys me and it looks so cheap, but I really loved Dexter.
…Well, the weirdness is kind of intentional, but I think the only weird thing is the idea of the characters dying painful deaths every five episodes. I remember when Mandark and Dexter were fighting while [spoil]a meteor killed everyone on Earth[/spoil]. Good times.
I can list millions of good things about Dexter, whereas I can list maybe a dozen about Jimmy Neutron.
The premise itself is brilliant. The greatest genius of our time is forced to share dwellings with a destructive…“mentally challenged” girl. It’s the ULTIMATE sibling rivalry. If you think about it, a lot is at stake in this fight: if it weren’t for Dee Dee, Dexter would’ve cured cancer, stopped global warming, and traveled back in time to stop Hitler from coming into power.
This is one of those cartoons that’s as fun to look at as it is to…hear the dialogue.
It uses many forms of humor, each one done brilliantly.
Dexter all the way. JN was always really peculiar to me and it…and the debut movie was never really that good (But I still like the “I touched a llama”). It was so much more interesting that only very few people new about Dexter’s “laborotory”, including his sister and arch-enemy. And come on, he introduced kids to the Swedish accent. There’s something fantastic about that voice. “GET OUT OF MY LAB-ORO-TORY!”
I’m sure it was only for comedic randomness, but why did Dexter have that accent?
One thing I’ve noticed before about the series is that it felt like it added a lot more humor, while the movie felt sort of kiddy in comparison.
I haven’t seen the movie. I just remember the show(it still comes on I think) and I never got into it.
gotta go with the original boy genious: Dexter.
Interesting, I thought this was going to be about the Showtime series about a serial killer. That wouldn’t have been a difficult fight in the least!
But I voted for Dexter. I don’t necessarily like him, but his show’s good.
