Justin Wright (1981-2008)

News has arrived of the death of a Pixarian, Justin Wright. Justin has only been at Pixar for just over a year, working in the story department, and from what I have read of him, he really, really wanted to work at Pixar and his dream came true. Justin died of a heart-attack, and his Pacific Union College alumni profile reads:

Here is his blog, and you can read what his friends and workmates at Pixar have to say about Justin at these links:

Michael Wright
Jeff Pidgeon
Ronnie Del Carmen
John Sanford
James Robertson
Kate RW
Enrico Casarosa

Nick Sung
Kelly Matten
Rainbow Zookeeper

This is very sad news and I think I can speak on behalf of everyone at Pixar Planet and Upcoming Pixar when we send out our deepest condolences to Justin’s family and friends. May he rest in peace.

My warm condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Wright. To pass away at that age is a crime shame, for not only is it much too soon… but there were so many other things he could have done with his life had he lived on. Nevertheless, I am quite pleased that he was able to achieve his dream before the untimely incident. What better knowledge to have than the reassurance of knowing that you’ve finally made it to the place you’ve always wanted to spend the rest of your earthly life in…?

I certainly hope that he was a Christian. From the sound of things, he was, thank goodness…

Now this is just sadening…

It makes me upset that such a talented person with so much potential could be taken away from us so early in his life. He seemed like a genuine, and enthusiastic person. At the same time I’m happy he got to live long enough to achieve his dream of working at Pixar. I hope his hard work is reflected in whatever film he was working on at the time, so his creativity will live on forever. My condolences go out to his family and friends, and everyone at Pixar.

Poor guy. He will be missed though. My prayers go out to his family. Rest in peace dude.

RIP Justin :frowning:

That was a bit of a shock, wasnt it?
