Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix

I may have said this before,

but this is the second one.

If your a Kingdom Hearts fan, or not, is anybody just as outraged that the

Kingdom Hearts 2 extra version is said to be a Japan Only release?

JAPAN ONLY?!?! I’m outraged!!!

Well that’s what’s going around. Some sources say that

the creators, having realized how popular Final Mix (first one) did in Japan alone, they MIGHT bring it to the

U.S.
Personally I think there’s no reason they shouldn’t.

A dedicated Kingdom Hearts site gives a a

quicklist of extras the game contains.

Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix

  • 7+ New Boss Battles

(“Organization XIII” Members & “Enigmatic Soldier”)

  • 10+ New Cutscenes
  • 2

Additional Sidequests (“Organization XIII Mushrooms” & “Piece Collection” Mode)

Theatre Mode (Rewatch Cutscenes in Japanese/English)

  • Additional Difficulty Level

(“Critical”)

  • New Explorable Areas (“Cave of Remembrance” & "Garden of

Assemblage")

  • New & Reworked Enemies (Statistic & Colour Changes)
  • New Drive Form

(“Limit Form”)

  • New Drive Gauge Limit (Increased to 9)
  • New Abilities
  • New Synthesis

Items

  • New Accessories
  • New Weapons (e.g. “Acrossing Two” & “Proof of Victory”

Keyblades)

  • New Character Costumes

And if that’s not enough for ya. The game comes with TWO

disc. One contains the Final Mix, the OTHER contains a FULLY 3-D PS2 version of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of

Memories, which originally was on Gameboy Advanced.

Pretty stupid NOT to put it here, since the

characters, mostly, speak english and the subtitles are japanese.

No, it’s not a japan only release!

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix + comes out in the USA

this August!

Shouldn’t this be moved

to “Other Disney”?
Also, here’s the epic Secret Ending movie:

And where did you find this OFFICIAL release statement?

Alright, well I guess there hasn’t been a confirmation from Square Enix- (I heard about the

North American release through a friend, so I didn’t know it wasn’t an absolute thing, I only just investigated

this) but ‘several independent sources state that a release in North America will occur in Fall 2007’

quoted from wiki on this article;

Sorry, I didn’t

mean to go run off on that without proof- so it isn’t a definate thing yet, but I’m pretty sure they will

release it in America. There’s too much money in an international or at least North American release to

not have one, now.

If not, we can all just get our playsations modified.

XD

Yes I recall the article…
I do hope the rumor from the Kingdom Heart’s

creator’s understanding of the first Final Mix’s sales in Japans will influence his decision to make it

statewide.

Funny…
If they don’t bring it here, then it’s just not something Square should do. You

have it with all these extras, INCLUDING a full new revamp of the GBA game…
NOT to mention the Final Mix

released in japan DOES have english voices, at least for the scenes we see in Kingdom Hearts 2. It would NOT be

such a tedious task to add the extra stuff with english.

You have to understand that these

games are developed in japan and therefore it does make sense that japan might get a

little something extra, and of course before America will. That doesn’t mean it’s exactly fair, but that’s how

it is. You’re right- it wouldn’t be a big deal to fix up Final Mix for an american release- and that’s why I

believe they will eventually do it.

But I wouldn’t get sore enough as to say it shouldn’t even be made

at all, if it won’t be released in America. That’s a little selfish, don’t you think? Besides, like I

said, if we must- we can all go get our Playstations modified to play japanese games, and we can play it then.

Sure it’s a little extra effort for a general game expansion- but it isn’t that bad. And I’d say it’s worth

it, to a true KH fan.

Not like I didn’t know that. I am one of the

Kingdom Heart elite afterall…

It seems just a good investment to bring it to the states. People are

asking for it. Supply and demand after all, vice versa and such. Of course the game IS in english with Japanese

subtitles, all that needs to be englished is the extras and RE:COM.

Hey, I’m not trying to be condescending here, I was just giving my opinion. 8( I

said I agreed- just thought maybe you weren’t looking on both sides of the plane.

I really hope it’s released in the USA…I want MORE Kingdom Hearts!!! :smiling_imp:

Most say it’ll go like the other and be Japan-only.

However…since it was a big

success as a release in Japan, and the fact that Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, in japan, is mostly english, there

are several influences that put it more on the side of having a U.S. Release than the first Final Mix.

Japan only? Oh man. Most of my friends who are fans of

Kingdom Hearts are going to be very disapointed when they hear this.

Take it as this way. There is no official release date for

America…BUT…there is ALSO…no official statement that it’s Japan-Only.

Well, at least

it can spark up their hopes a little bit.

True.
Personally going through the trouble of revamping a PS2 seems to be a probably you

shouldn’t have with a Square game.

However…from what I’ve seen on YouTube, the game itself, with the

exception of the added material and RE:COM is english, so there’s at least a little bonus if you’ve never

played KH2 before.

You know what I think?

I think that Kingdom Hearts should be released on every updated game console and not just for one.

Personally I think it should stay on PS2. I mean that’s

where the series was born and continues. Some people say they want it on the 360 or Wii (imagine that)…but it

just wouldn’t…feel right…

However…I have nothing against them releasing it, and future ones, for

the PS2 AND other consoles.
