Kingdom Hearts

I’m just writing a KH-Fanfic and in one chapter they are in the ABL world. Originally I also wanted to take the Cars world too but I hadn’t any ideas. But I still have to translate the chapters in English before uploading my chapters on fanfiction.net.

Hmm…I should update mine soon…despite being ignored hmm…

heres a idea for paridise falls [spoil] Heartless Dogs [/spoil]

Yeah, that’d be neat cynel. Monsters could do some crazy stuff. Ratatouille would be a bit hard,…

Though Ratatouille is next up on the Pixar: Edition List…
I can say that Ratatouille wouldn’t be hard at all. It would essentially borrow a similiar page from the bizzare room in Wonderland back in the first game. THOUGH…I would imagine that the difficulty would come from the mere size of the area. I would guess that the areas available would be some-what limited, and that there will be several quick-travel areas. Such as the back alley of Guesteu’s would lead to Linguini’s house.
The enemies wouldn’t be too hard as well. Heartless rats of course…not to mention avoiding human shoes and attacking kitchen untensils.

i dont know where the keyhole will be in Paradise Falls

A Keyholw is usually in an area of significance to the world itself. For instance, the Doorknob in Wonderland, which is esentially the keepr to the rest of the unexplored world beyond.
I haven’t seen the film but…if I had to suggest a keyhole placement…maybe somewhere in the “balloon house”? Sorta “it was at the beginning, but we didn’t find it till the end” sort of deal.

IGN recently did an article about what they might like to see in Kingdom Hearts 3.
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/100/1008582p1.html

The guy has some good points, but I’d have to say I don’t think he really “gets” Kingdom Hearts overall. He claims that Sora’s “drastic character change” was a good thing, while I personally felt it was one of the weakest parts of Kingdom Hearts 2, and to be frank he didn’t match up with his established personality from the first game. The guy also says the should either go full action mode, interms of gameplay, or switch to the card based system of CoM, which are both bogus claims. The main gameplay style already works well, it just needs a few tweaks, and better AI on Donald and Goofy’s part… Also, he wants the series to end tih the third installment. Again, this is bogus. Sora’s story may need to end, but the series can continue with a new protagonist.

He has some good ideas though. I totally agree that the villains need to be more of a threat, and have more personality. I also agree that the characters should age, and the story should get more serious. Kingdom Hearts is still a fairly new series, and there is alot of room to grow.

I read that article! I also agree about how I think they need to make more like Kari is in danger, not the whole world thing. And the heartless need to be a lot more evil :smiling_imp:

I was also thinking about Pixar worlds and right now I think the only ones that they would actually ever put in are Up, Toy Story, Finding Nemo, or Cars as a mini world like you guys said. Although they HAVE to have Port Royal and Beast’s Castle in the third, or else I refuse to play it

I wouldn’t mind fighting alongside Kairi but I think Squall Leonhart and $crooge McDuck would make better allies than her.

There six worlds from the games whcih I really would like to see in KH III:
Halloween Town
Port Royal
Radiant Garden
Agrabah
Pride Lands
Atlantica

They could also try someting new, like mixing The Little Mermaid with Finding Nemo and/or Atlantis.

For Pixar Worlds, I can imagine both mini games and actual story line, although I have trouble imagining the Pixar Characters fighting the Heartless, except Sulley with his roar and claws (and using Mike as ball  ).

I think Up, Monsters, Toy Story, and maybe Bug’s Life are totally ripe for the picking in terms of worlds that would work for Kingdom hearts. Buzz or Woody would be fine as members, Sulley, I’d imagine Flik would get the spot for ABL, but they’d either have to screw him up or be really creative with how he’d fight. He does do inventions though. As for Up, I’d say Carl would be the only logical choice for a member, except maybe Dug (that’d be kinda odd), but he might not join til a ways into the story (you’d have to see the movie to understand why) to kinda help it make more sense as to why he’d be a decent fighter.

Yeah, I thought the idea of making it more of a personal/rescue story, instead of the save the world thing could work. I have to admit though, I associate the main, as in numbered, games with a major threat to the whole KH universe. Look at CoM. I thought the plot of that game was really personal and contained, instead of doing the save the world thing. I think it works in the "spin-off: games, but not in the main games. Also, if this is Sora’s last game, it should be really epic.

The Heartlesss, I actually think are perfect as they are. They’re mindless drones, simply pursuing one objective, and that is the only thing that drives them. Being driven by instinct aloen makes them extremely dangerous, as they can turn on anyone. The villains need to be more threatening however. KK did a good job of this, but, honestly, KH2’s villains really didn’t do much at all. I still don’t get how what they were doing was really that wrong, and I’ve played the game through 3 times.

yeah, COM was really personal. I also agree that if (God Forbid) this is the last Kingdom Hearts game they really need to pull out all the stops on this, make totally awesomely epic!

Totally! I agree with all of those and as I stated before without Port Royal I would probably hate Kingdom Hearts 3. Who wouldn’t want to fight the Kraken?

Sora’s dramatic change is actually part of the story itself, and not just in the unintentional way. When Roxas speaks with Diz in the chamber at the end of his segment, Diz notes Sora is “too kind for his own good”. In some aspects, Roxas’s personality excentuates itself to balance out Sora to be a more mature, and thorough, person.
Personally, I believe they should stick with full action mode. However, I would like to understand/see more about Castle Oblivion…where it’s origin lies, how it was found first, and how the Cards are actually related to it, as well as memories.
They should take a note from Xenosaga, which planned to do 6/7 games, but ended up with 3, and determine if the story CAN be ended with a third game (at least for Sora). Personally…it MAY…however…it doesn’t stop from a fourth game showing a new protagonist, and one that may know more about their origin of a keyblade weilder than the previous ones.
As for the villains…in BBS (Birth By Sleep) we will, hopefully, see where these Unbirth emerged from…and how they eventually mix in with the Nobodies and Heartless. And this is a key factor, the origin of the enemy, that DOES need to be told. Another factor is the origin and process of the Keyblade. We’ve had the coming together of villains to establish their new order, we’ve had an organization looking for something and using any means to get it, now we need something else…and I hope Square can provide…

Kari…now her and Sora fighting together is something I definetly want to see…and I believe Kari’s origins and ability to weild a Keyblade will certainly be a point in KH3.
And I don’t think the Heartless are entirely evil. Nobodies have already proved that (Roxas, Axel). And Sora himself was a Heartless for a time.

As for the worlds, I believe all the Pixar worlds can be included (Though Cars as a mini-world…since the concept weilding the Keyblade in that world (game-wise) would be too difficult).
As for Port Royal…I doubt that will re-appear…BUT…The POTC world MIGHT. They have two sequels for that one…and fighting Davey Jones would be intresting.
Beast’s Castle may be a little difficult…most of it’s sequels were direct to video…though I might see that once that involves the living pipe organ as a boss…

That’s another thing to note if they do jump a few years ahead. Everyone would get older…though the FF characters will probably still be around. And also, KH3 has got to have a conclusion with the fighting between Sephiroth and Cloud. OH! And AS A SIDE NOTE…KH3 should have more options, including optional bosses. There was basically one side-boss in KH2 (not including the collesium, and NOT including the Japanese version Final Mix).

Halloweentown surprisingly came back in KH2, continuing the plot from the previous…I have doubt it may return…but if they’re going to borrow anything, such as the plot from the NBC game…then maybe.
Port Royal, may return.
Radiant Garden, most likely it will, as it’s an original world.
Agrabah…now there’s a difficult one. They MAY do the third sequel…it would certainly give a much larger degree of room for exploration. And the sight of Sora looking at Mithas’s Gold-changing Hand would be hilarious.
Pride Lands. That could very well return, having Kiara (I think that’s her) or Kovu as a party member.
Atlantica. They did something weird with this one. First it was a world, then it was a sorta musical/action button sequence. I would like them to work with water again…just unsure how they’d handle the world.

Doubt they may mix them…though they can put in some referrances…though I do admit the mixing is a good idea…sorta like a “hub” type of thing.

I actually worked with this in my KH story on here for party members:
Toy Story: Woody (Buzz as assist)
Bug’s Life: Flick (Nala as assist)
Toy Story 2: Buzz
M.I.: Sulley (Mike as possible assist)
Nemo: Merlin (Dori as possible assist)
Incredibles: Bob (Rest of the family as assists)
Cars: Not really party member…but Lightning.
Ratatouille: Remy (Emile as possible assist)
Wall-e: Wall-e (Eve as assist)

Buzz and Woody would probably have accessories in their attacks, such as Buzz zooming around on his wings (and flying once you reach the point that he comes to terms with himself), and Woody using a whip. Sullivan would use claws, roars, and even changing. Flik would probably use inventions, like that cutter-device he uses in the opening, or a food spitter or something.
Oh yes Up…forgot. Carl might be a party member…unsure for that one…

They really did the rescue story in the first one Kenobi, and it sorta ended with the second. But yes, I do agree the save the world thing is done too much…but I also think that if the last will be epic, it should introduce a grand scale involving the Heartless, Nobodies, the Keyblade, Dark, Light, and an all manner of things.

Wouldn’t say so much in the way of mindless. If a strong enough heart becomes a Heartless, they can be similiar to what they were (Sora, Ansem).
That is an interesting question Kenobi…my guess is is that the hearts that Heartless in KH2 had were not their own, of course, and instead of returning to Kingdom Hearts when Sora defeated them, they instead went to the artificial Kingdom Hearts Xehanort created, in effect sort of “imprisioning” them…
But I do understand…that Nobodies claim to have no hearts…but they have emotions…and the fact that they became Nobodies, but aimed to retrieve their hearts…seems as if they were trying to fix a mistake they had made…there are still some unanswered questions…

I can pretty much guarantee that KH3 won’t be the last one. The game makes money, and Square Enix will make more as long as it continues to do so.

If anything, KH3 should only be the end of Sora’s story, though I honestly think that they could do at least two more after 3 with Sora. KH, CoM, and KH2, I 've always felt were really a trilogy, because of KH2’s ending. So, doing one more trilogy of games, starting with 3 I think would be fine.

Although, I do admit, as much as I like Sora, I am getting a little tired or him. I think KH2 would have been much better if you had played all the way through as Roxas. He was set up very well in the beginning, and, ultimately, what they coked up for Sora wasn’t that great. Kingdom Hearts, like Final Fantasy, would work with changing protagonists.

Also, just have to say, as much as I love the Halloween Town world, I think it’s time for it to go. There really isn’t much more sotry for them to draw on. Maybe it could work as a minigame world.

I agree, I would love to see it return but it just seems that there’s no place where it can go any more. Another animated world that I haven’t thought of before : Bambi. How cool would it be to see Sora as a fox or something?

Yeah, I would like to see Bambi. I really think there needs to be more classic Disney worlds.

I want to see: The Jungle Book, The Sword in the Stone, Robin Hood, and a return of the Neverland.

I totally forgot about those movies! I think that The Jungle Book is a good bet but the Sword in the Stone I’m not to sure about. I would love to go back to Neverland and explore it more 9kinda like in 358/2 Days)

I already posted this on another thread, but I wanted to move it here to hear what you think.

It would be hard to imagine Mickey’s voice “deep,” but KH is about as close to deep as it gets.

NEXAS - Sorry, missed your post there.

In regards to Sora’s character change. That’s a possibility, I’ll admit, I had not considered, although it still doesn’t sync with the change in Sora’s personality. The Sora of KH2 was greatly lacking in maturity. Basically, Sora went around annihilating the bad guys, simply because we are told they were bad. Now, in the first game, Sora figured alot of things out for himself, such as the true nature of Kingdom Hearts, showing a wisdom beyond his age. The first game featured a Sora, who truly had a “strong sense of justice”, as they say in the game manual. He thought about right and wrong, and we got to see him thinking about it, so we knew more about him, and how he thinks. Sora showed him himself to be very compassionate, and even sympathetic, towards people.

Now, in KH2, most of this is thrown out the window. He comes extremely arrogant, and even more hot tempered, and seems to lose his abiltity to think about things such as right and wrong. When Sora first, meets Pete, he(Sora) informs Pete that Maleficent is "toast. This seriously jarred me, but I could understand a young kid saying something like that about a defeated foe, especially if he is proud of it. I’d say this was the beginning though. Now, almost immediately after Sora defeats Demyx, he shouts, “Anyone from the Organization want to be next?” This is wear the change becomes too much. What have these people done to him? Nothing, really. They had a few heated words in Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden, and they fought Demyx in the Underworld, but that’s it really. Now, I suppose you could say Sora was angry that his friends in Radiant Garden were currently being attacked, and he thought the Nobodies were behind it, but this is still too much, even Donald chastises him. I can’t see it as merely a slip of anger, because this sort of behavior really seems to show itself in Sora throughout the game, not just in this one instance. Only at the end of the game, do we slightly begin to see the “old” Sora, but by then it’s still not quite right, and it is far to late.

Now, the reason I have trouble accepting this is because, storywise, Sora should have no change from the end of Kingdom Hearts. It’s been a year for everyone else, but Sora has been asleep for that year, and he has no recollection of the events in CoM. So, Sora really shouldn’t mentally change, because to him, nothing has happened since the end of the first game. I also have problems with the idea of Roxas changing his personality, because it is never addressed in the game. If they wanted to go that way, Sora, Donald, of Goofy, should have noted odd changes in Sora’s personality, and wondered why he was acting differently, but instead the changes are accepted without question. Therefore, it makes it seem like Sora was just always this way, when he really wasn’t.

Yes, the did use a rescue idea in actually all three games, but in the numbered two, it was really more of Sora’s personal motivation, to save the world. I think IGN was suggesting a plot where the ultimate goal is a rescue, not to save the world, as it was in KH and KH2.

When I said, mindless, I was referring to the “minion” Heartless, like Shadows. While some people can retain their mind while being a Heartless, most don’t, and the vast majority of the Heartless are driven my instinct and their one goal.

Yeah, I really hope 358/2 Days answers those questions. My problem was that the Organization wasn’t really doing anything in the worlds themselves to cause any kind of threat. Pete and Maleficent were the ones messing up the world in the first half, and even in the second half, the Organization does very little. I guess they were just putting Heartless in the worlds, but that’s really not doing enough, as we’ve seen it before, many times. Plus, like you say it seemed like they were trying to fix a mistake. Is that really that bad? Sure, their methods may not be great, but I would expect Sora to show some kind of sympathy to them.
