Animator’s work habits:
Hmm…interesting. It’s
nice to occassionally hear recent Pixar news from an employee of the said company every once in a while – they
let us know what is really happening over there at Pixar Animation Studios.
It sure sounds like they (the
animators) have a lot of fun at Pixar. Oh, how I wish I was working there right now… ![]()
Mitch: Me too. But my animation/drawing/art skills are not as good as most people
here. But I would like to work there. Besides Disneyland/world, Pixar is probably the only place where you can
work and have fun at the same time, or where the work is fun. (you take your pick)
That article was a great read. It was on the short side, but I enjoyed it.
We’ve got all the DVD
documentaries and all about the inner workings of Pixar, but it was really nice to hear it all described from the
point of view of someone who’s a little lower down on the ladder, I guess you might say. Not to put Scanlon
down or anything, but you can’t deny that he’s not one of the company’s big names, so it was fun to see the
company through his eyes instead of, say, Lasseter’s, or Bird’s, or Fleabie’s.

I don’t want to start an
off-topic discussion, but I know that there’s absolutely no way that that can be true.
Loads of people say
that they have fun at their jobs, and unless professional acting is completely different from acting in school
(which it isn’t), I think I can safely say that I know from my own experience that there’s at least one other
job that counts as fun. ![]()
That was a
great article. It must be amazing to be a Pixar employee, though, as DElf said, it’s not the only job in the
entire world you can have fun doing. Some people could even find working at Pixar to be a nightmare- it depends
on each individual. Though I’d give an arm and a leg to work there, but that’s besides the point. ![]()
