Ding’s right- this is a weenie bit random. And obvious. Everyone likes McQueen! (toward the end, anyway. That’s just my opinion).

Yup, I like Lightning McQueen. Not my favorite character in the movie, but he’s still awesome.

Well, I can understand some people not liking him, but I like the fact that he’s a flawed and believable character who goes through a feasible transformation, but doesn’t end up all perfect. He’s changed for the better, but still flawed.

I voted Yes, but I can see why he’d be an unlikable protagonist for some. It’s sort of like a rags-to-riches story for him, as he starts out as a complete jerk, totally self-absorbed, but learns to care about others and helps Radiator Springs prosper by the end of the film. I think it’ll be a bit like Woody in Toy Story where I’ll prefer the main character in the sequel, because they’ve had the time to develop into more likable heroes. :stuck_out_tongue:

On a more serious note yeah Lightning’s personality at the begining was blech,but you know at least he’s not a weakling like Linguini,and has a strong personality,and has a backbone…ugh I can’t stand weak,characters with no backbone…

I have nothing against Linguini, but yes, I too love Lightning.
