Lightning McQueen...stolen?

So I signed onto my Yahoo page, and I notice under the “Now Trending” spot at number 6 was Lightning McQueen. I though wow, people must be excited for Cars 2!

But apperently Disney and Pixar have in in this huge court battle for quiet some time now, I didn’t know until today! Anyone have more details or thoughts on this?

Wait, Disney sayd PIXAR stole Lightning? :open_mouth: I don’t understand anything anymore…

lol, I know. First the whole “No Oscar for Toy STory 3 thing” and now this?

I mean, they didn’t steal the number 95, it’s for anyone to use…And Pixar choose it because it’s the release year for Toy Story.

This is so stupid. I was born in 1995. Will they sue me now?

Um,no :smiley:isney and Pixar won a court battle against Mark Brill.Brill is a veteran race car driver. For the last 13 years, his race cars have been painted bright red with the number 95 on the doors.

But i’m glad, that Disney and Pixar won and i agree with court:“a fictional, talking, driver-less red race car with the number 95 on it cannot be construed as a likeness of a driver of a similarly colored/numbered race car”

Ah, okay.

People will do anything to get in the news these days. Just another case of someone suing Pixar because their stuff looks a little bit like their own work.

^ Exactly… :unamused:
