So I was watching the Pixar Shorts on ABC Family today. Now I didn’t catch it the first time around. But after seeing it a second time i caught it. Now only the back of the truck is visible from the clip’s point of view. But if you if you compare it to the statue of Stanley. You can see they are both one in the same.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Cars, but Stanley is the Statue that Red is always by when he’s watering his plants right? That’s interesting, I never would’ve caught that.
If you have “The Incredibles” on DVD, or the Pixar Short Films Collection, Bud Luckey, director of “Boundin’,” mentioned that in the audio commentary. That’s how I found out.
Well, you can always expect something like that in everything Pixar does. It doesn’t really suprise me per-se, I mean, they always drop hints in shorts and features, but I totally didn’t link up the connection in Boundin’. Good job for picking it up!
Now i noticed that! I was watching the shorts on ABC Family a few days before Christmas and noticed that. I was like “Whoa! That DOES look like Stanley!”
I never noticed that myself! Then again, I only watched Cars for the first time in a while yesterday, and I haven’t seen Boundin’ in ages. Fly away, Stanley! Be free!
