Longest Pixar Short film

I wonder what can actually be involved in the short though apart from Mater and the

ghostlight.

Ohh…I could think of a few things…

I’m sure that the Pixar

animators will surprise us with this short.

Don’t matter how long, PIXAR will make this a great

Short nonetheless!!

Got that right, but I

wonder when the will deliver a dud. One day, it has to happen.

That’s like saying "It maybe sunny today, but one day, the Sun will

explode, taking us with it." Don’t worry about the future too much. That gets depressing. Try to live for

the now.

Anyway, you never know- Pixar might be able to keep up their track record indefinitely!

Took the words right out of my mouth, RMS.

Sounds reminiscent of E - "I never look back darling, it distracts from the

now."

The only exception is that we alway look back - I don’t know how many times I’ve rewatched a

PIXAR Short or film!

Yeah, must be optimistic, but I always say look at Disney, they used to be like Pixar in the early half of

the 20th century then they just started to churn out junk

Yeah i’m a little afraid of that

happening. I’ve only seen one total Disney movie since 1999. Sometimes I think you know, what if what happened

at Disney happens at Pixar? God, i hope not!

Yeah

exactly my point, I just wonder what how long this huge box office success can keep.

It won’t. These are animators we’re talking about.

How does being an animator prevent

that? :stuck_out_tongue:

~~=oP

Haha – believe me,

I know! After living with my dad for…well…for forever, you get to learn a few things. Animators

are…different from the outside world. Most of them – at least the ones who take an optimistic view of life and

films – care only about story…and having fun forming it. They really get into their characters, tending to

insert a joke into their work whenever they have the chance to do so. It’s fun living around an animator.

I understand that.

But what I’m asking is, how does being an animator at Pixar prevent the

company from going under? Aren’t there animators at Disney also?

And I’m pretty sure that Pixar

doesn’t rely completely on the work done by the animators for their success. What about the

writers?

~~=oP

It ultimately depends on how much freedom the execs

give the animators and others working on the film. Which doesn’t concern me with Jobs, Catmull, Iger, Lasseter,

et al at the helm.

Yes, there you go.

Thanks for answering

PixarVixen’s question for me, Dash.

Yeah, those guys are really lose non exec guys.

Well

that gives me a bit more confidence. I guess I’m just a bit paranoid. :stuck_out_tongue:

I just found out that Mater and the Ghostlight will be 7:06 (7 min. 6

sec.)long.
