Both pictures look very nice, Maggie! I especially love the first drawing of Colette, and the backstory that you conjured up to go with it is actually rather intriguing and creative. I love it.
Of course, there is always room for improvement. Pixfan’s helpful hints (concerning the second drawing) are things to look out for when sketching scenes such as the one you whipped up. People are hard to draw, though, which adds further emphasis to the continually-repeated phrase, “Practice makes perfect”.
Mitch and rachel - Thank you both. You know, I really wasn’t sure if I should color it or just leave it like that, so I made a copy and colored it, just to know how it looks.
EDIT, August 17th, 2007: Finally, I’ve got a scanner, and I’m replacing all the images I’ve shown so far. This is the better resolution one:
Thank you all! I think most of you prefer the colored version, but I can’t choose; I like both pencil and colored versions.
Now, sorry, but I can’t contain myself, I have to say what’s going to be my next work!
Some time ago, I couldn’t resist reading this spoiler at the Ratatouille
forum…

I’m glad I read it, right now I’m working on a little sketch that I hope that
makes you laugh! Wait to see!
