Maggie's art

Both pictures look very nice, Maggie! I especially love the first drawing of Colette, and the backstory that you conjured up to go with it is actually rather intriguing and creative. I love it.

Of course, there is always room for improvement. Pixfan’s helpful hints (concerning the second drawing) are things to look out for when sketching scenes such as the one you whipped up. People are hard to draw, though, which adds further emphasis to the continually-repeated phrase, “Practice makes perfect”.

Other than that, keep up the good work!

Basically, Pixfan said everything that was needed to be

said! Nice work, Maggie!

Maggie_PixarFan: Your Collete and Linguini drawing is so nice, but I do have to say something.

The very first time I saw it, I thought it was a Violet and Tony picture. I think you can understand why.

Well done Maggie. That’s definitely a concept that

I think will be very popular. I can’t wait to see more.

Hooray for Linguini! I don’t really have much critique other than what

Pixfan said. I like the overall concept.

Thanks everyone!

Boy, I’m in a “Colette” mood… :stuck_out_tongue:
I made this one last night…

I’ve decided to give Colette another look… The “French” look.

I don’t know about you, but I just love those hats! I wish I could have one… Oh, and ignore the little Eiffel tower thingie, I was just doodling. ;-p

Now I want to know: should I color it? Please give me your opinion!

That

looks great. =)

I like the beret, too. I might wear one when I go see Ratatouille at the movies. They are

in fashion here, at the moment because it’s Winter. I’m sure you could find one at your local "thrift

store", though.

I think you should scan the picture onto your computer and colour it just to see

what it looks like with colour, but I still think it looks good as it is.

Maggie- Colette looks beautiful! Her lips are well-shaped, and I love the twinkle

in her eyes. A little more contrast with the shading would give her a bit more depth. The beret really suits her,

too, but it must do- she is French, after all!

For a pencil drawing, Collete looks absolutely adorable! Nice work Maggie!

Wow, that’s a great drawing of Colette, great job

Maggie!!!

Sally, looks great and so does all of your other drawings  Keep it up!

Maggie - The beret really works! Heheh. Great job on the

Colette drawing, Maggie! It’s up to you whether you add a little "colorful

flavor" to it or not, but I agree with rachel in that it looks pretty nice as

is.

Thanks everyone!

Hatcat - Geez, I almost forgot about that one!

Mitch and rachel - Thank you both. You know, I really wasn’t sure if I should color it or just leave it like that, so I made a copy and colored it, just to know how it looks.

EDIT, August 17th, 2007: Finally, I’ve got a scanner, and I’m replacing all the images I’ve shown so far. This is the better resolution one:

Yeah, I like that. It looks better, IMHO. =) I like

the shading on the purple beret - it was a nice choice of colour.

I agree with

rachel; it looks like it has a lot more depth, and that purple is gorgeous!

That look so much like her,

nice drawing Maggie!!!

Maggie_PixarFan: I have to say it looks better in color.

Yay – you colored it! I agree with the

others in that it looks much fancier and “hyper” in a colored coat. Nice work!

Ah,neat! You draw good Maggie!

Thank you all! I think most of you prefer the colored version, but I can’t choose; I like both pencil and colored versions.

Now, sorry, but I can’t contain myself, I have to say what’s going to be my next work!
Some time ago, I couldn’t resist reading this spoiler at the Ratatouille
forum…
[spoil]I read that Linguini wears The Incredibles boxers!
 [/spoil]

I’m glad I read it, right now I’m working on a little sketch that I hope that
makes you laugh! Wait to see!
