making my own toys.

Ok so i’m pretty certain that we will never see a Toy Story collection Bo Peep so I plan to make one on my own and I want it to be as accurate as possible. So who has some ideas?

sculpt from clay, than make a resin pull and paint it?

or you could find a doll that looks close to her, and make or buy parts that make her look closer to the real thing.

Thanks Kyle I may look into the clay idea!! :bulb:

i used to make a lot of stuff from clay. i actually still have a 12" wallace and a 5" gromit i hand sculpted and painted like 6 years ago.
it would work best to make Bo-Peep from clay since in the movie she is a ceramic lamp. they will most likely never come out with a movie accurate Bo-Peep due to the fact that it would have to be ceramic and children would break it easily.
the only character i need to feel my collection is complete is Mr. Mike, i have one i got from a garage sale for 50 cents but he is missing his mike, the cord is there just someone broke off his mike,

I doubt being ceramic alone would stop them. they could just make it from a hard shiny plastic. so it would still look on model, even if the material wasn’t quite right. it wouldn’t be the first time they material was off, look at Rex, he’s supposed to be made from a shinier hard plastic all over, but its more of a soft vinyl.

Wow, nice ambition! Good luck with it. I too would recommend clay. How big do you intend to make it?

I used to make my own mutant toys all post some pics of them later.

Hi Andy 2010! I just read your post and I am very interested in seeing your Bo Peep toy when she is finished. I recently created a site called DIY PIXAR and we’d love it if you could please post some of your design process here!

I will certainly keep you posted. I am currently on the search for all the perfect parts to make her but I will gladly document the progress in pictures.

So Andy2010, How is it coming along with your Bo Peep project
