Does anyone have any news regarding the movie Maleficent said to be coming out in 2013?

From what i’ve heard Angelina Jolie wants to play Maleficent and I think that the people working on the movie are considering her but I am not 100% sure.
I heard Tim Burton is directing.
I think I first heard about this on the Tim Burton Collective. Seems like a neat idea, even if the concept is somewhat overdone.

I am not a huge Angelina Jolie fan either, but I think she could pull off Malificent fairly well.
Me too. 
I like Angelina Jolie. Not as an actress though! I love her humanitarian work, and her book documenting her expiriences in third world countries doing relief work. It’s truly inspiring.
On another note, actualyl regarding the movie, I can see her playing Maleficient. I mean, I can’t see anyone else doing that role. She kind of looks the part. Only she’s not green.
