The Bowler Hat Guy dispenser is awesomely bad.

I
think i might just see the movie for my favorite part in the commercial
Bowler Hat Guy : why aren’t you
seizing the boy ?!
T-rex : A-ruhh-ruhh an-ruhh-ruhh*
*translation : I have a big head , and little
arms
it’s just so funny how he does it , it makes you feel all bad for it . And I love how he shakes his
“little arms” .

Wow. Pv…Wow. Best thing
ever.
And I want those Pez Toys!
They also put the MTR Superbowl tv spot here:

PV - Pah! Yep – that’s
probably it. Win back the fans and, of course, gain more money. I’d like to see Meet the
Robinsons try to rake in more dough than Ratatouille.

Meg - Haha – cute picture. I’m trying to see what the cat and the cookie
has to do with the discussion, however. (snigger)
JV - Yeah, I also saw
that tv spot on there. Kinda funny that they put it up on the internet before the
Superbowl came on. They must be desperate.
Personally, this films looks worse and worse the more I see
of it. But hey – that’s just me. The thing could be great…
Pixar it aint.
I'm afraid all CG movies are rubbish compaired to
Pixar… their the kings of CG.
'nuff said.
Well I think the challenge for WDFA will be the humans.
Pixar struggled with The Incredibles even though this film will probably have a lot
less action. But it is still hard to do CG humans, period.
oh, and I love the random kitty picture Meg.
I
don’t care if it eated my cookie, I want to squeeze it.

Why, it has to do with
PV’s awesome comment, of course!
Of
course it’s not Pixar. But just because it’s not Pixar doesn’t make it bad! Yikes - somebody tries to do
something different, and everyone jumps all over them for ‘not being Pixar’. Different can be good.
And I
don’t think ALL CG films are ‘rubbish’ compared to Pixar. There’s a good handful that are fantastic - I love
Ice Age and Happy Feet could give Cars a run for its money at the Oscars.
Why wouldn’t it make as much money as
Rat? It looks just as fun, and if they market it well it could do great. Personally I love the future-retro style
of it and the character designs look fantastic. The trailers are a bit too hyper but it’s hard to find one
that’s not.
Sorry if I came off a bit too harsh but I’m tired of everyone trashing other studis’ films
simply because they’re ‘not Pixar’! There are creative people outside of the Lamp, you know.
Meg, your kitty picture is priceless.

Ohh…I see. I get it. Heheh – you would think I would have figured that out.

Oh, no no no.
I’m not bashing the film at all. Heck, I love to give every animation studio a chance. Who cares if they’re not
Pixar…as long as they make the film good? I’m just saying that Disney has made quite a few bombers in recent
years, so trusting them these days is something that I don’t quite understand. (snigger) But hey, I’m willing
to give Meet the Robinsons a chance, as well. I’m still a loyal Disney fan after
all these years, so dismissing a studio that I love altogether would be quite ludicrous to me. Believe me – I’m
with you on this.
To get my point across, let’s just say that I think
Ratatouille looks better…storywise – alot better.

Edit/Update: Speaking of Meet the Robinsons,
you can check out a clip that gives insiders a first look at the Meet the Robinsons
Wii video game via this link:

I dunno about you guys, but it looks pretty cool.

Oh, video
game. I though it meant for the movie…Whups!
Anyway, I haven’t liked Disneys’ recent
projects either but I have faith in this one, due to the major story changes Lasseter and co. suggested Disney
make to it. Now I think Rat will be better story-wise as well, but I’m currently looking foward to MTR more, as
it’s coming out sooner and I’ve seen more of it than Rat. Here’s hoping they’re both great!

Meg - Heheh – yep, here’s hoping that it will be great, as well! clinks glasses
I didn’t know that Mr. Lasseter made some story changes to it, but now that I know…I feel a little better
about the film. Even if the plot doesn’t turn out to be as snappy as I would like it to be, at least the
wonderfully generated computer effects will make up for it.

Is this
a Pixar or just Disney movie?
Bill
#36
aZnCdn - It’s a Disney movie.
I think the is Disney’s second shot
at doing a CG film by themselves. Am I right?
Mitch
#38
The Star Swordsman - Nope – I believe it’s actually their fourth. Here is a
list of their CG films that I know of:
Chicken Little
Valiant
The Wild
Meet the
Robinsons
There might be one or two more, but if there are…their names escape me. But
anyway – there you have it.
Here’s hoping that Meet the Robinsons will
be good for a change.
Wow, I am way off.
But I doubt this will be a good one. Disney hasn’t done so well with CG films without Pixar. What should make
this any different?
Mitch

The Star
Swordsman - Ah, no sweat. I didn’t remember the others myself until you mentioned Disney and CG
together. (snigger)
Well, actually, I believe that someone on this forum
(PV, I think) mentioned that John Lasseter/Pixar helped tweak the story a little
bit. Unless I’m thinking of a different film, Meet the Robinsons just might turn
out to be better than we think it will be. I don’t have much faith in it myself, but I’ll give it a try. I’m
only seeing it for two reasons, though:
-
Ratatouille trailer, and
-
The animation
Notice that I mentioned the Ratatouille trailer first.
