Meet the Robinsons

Well, it is too late to tweak the story now. THe film

comes out in two-three weeks.

You can now play a

select few games on the official Meet the Robinsons

website. I took the trivia test (“Which Robinson Are You?”) and I was

Wilbur!

Well, your both right, in a way. MTR is Walt Disney Feature

Animation’s second attempt at CG after Chicken Little. So it’s their second if you

only include in house productions.

As for the other films: They were

released by Disney, but not actually made in house. So, Disney financed and

distributed Valiant, but a British company by the name of Vangaurd made it (the

plot, characters etc.) Now as for The Wild, it was produced by Core Animation and,

once again, released by Disney. Oh, and Dinosaur, a movie that some may remember,

was the other CG film released by Disney and produced by the now defunct Secret Lab. So that is another one for

your list, Mitch.

I just wanted to clear that up.

Gasduude - Ahhh…I see. Heheh – now I get it.

Thanks for clearing that up for both of us, dude!

I completely forgot about

Dinosaur, which is surprising, especially concerning the fact that I absolutely

loved it. I don’t think it was that popular with the crowds, but I thought it was fantastic.

No prob, Mitch!

Anytime!

Off-topic-Nice! I thought I was the only one in the world who liked

that movie! And as a side note: I think they actually blended CG with live action to make

Dinosaur. So some may not count it as a true CG film.

You might be wrong about who said that, but you’re right

about what was said.

Too bad Pixar was too late for Chicken Little.

:unamused:

Yep, it is correct: check out

this

article. (You’ll have to scroll a bit)

The article also talks about the interesting changes foing on in

WDFA.

Danny Elfman will be

doing the music for the film. Come to think of it, I’ve wanted to see him compose a Pixar film for a long

time.

Aunt Billie
Aunt Petunia
Buster (dog)
Carl

(robot)
Cornelius Robinson (Wilbur’s father?)
Cousin Laszlo
Cousin Tellulah
Dimitri (guy in

pot)
Dr. Krunklehorn (crazy caffiene lady)
Frankie (frog)
Franny Robinson (Wilbur’s mother)
Grandma

Lucille
Grandpa Bud
Lefty (purple octopus)
Lizzie
Spike (guy in pot)
Uncle Art
Uncle

Fritz
Uncle Gaston
Uncle Joe

Phew!

These are the names of all of the characters who have

been advertised. I’m not taking IMDb’s word for the rest of the cast until I watch the movie. I mean, c’mon.

They have 2 kids listed as the voice of Lewis. Not buyin’ it yet,

IMDb.

~~=oP

Yeah, IMDB’s

not the best site to look at sometimes. For instance, someone submitted fake VA’s for Twilight Princess with

Richard Simmons as the voice of Tingle and 50 Cent as the voice of Epona. Freaking Epona. Yeah, IMDB can be as

gullible as a sack of rocks. Yet for all the times I keep submitting that there’s a load of references to 20K

(which the cast and crew EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE)in Pirates 2, they never put that in the movie connections.

Sorry, off-topic once again, but yes- it’s all the scenery and everything taken

from real life that they used. Great film.

PixarVixen - Dang! I

applaude you, miss! claps

Stinking’, two thousand and fifty-four characters that I can’t even

memorize. And I only plan to see the film 1-2 times and 1-2 times only (and you all

know why – Ratatouille trailer!!). Unless it is a really really good film, it’s

not worth more than my $20 bucks. (snigger)

But hey – you guys enjoy it! I’ll see it once and clap when

the Ratatouille trailer comes on. I also want to see if for Tiny, since I’m a big

dinosaur lover. :stuck_out_tongue:

Mitch, you said before that Meet the Robinsons

isn’t Disney’s second attempt at CG animation, when in fact it is. The Wild was animated by C.O.R.E. Feature

Animation, Disney mearly distributed it, and Valiant was done by Vanguard Animation, and Disney only distributed

that. Meet the Robinsons is the second time that Disney has done CG by themselves.

Bill -

Heheh – yeah, I just realized my mistake concerning that matter, as someone mentioned the very same thing a few

days back (it was Gasduude who reminded me of it, I believe). But yeah. Thanks for

the “heads up”, in any case.

You can now view information on most of the

characters and play more games on the official Meet the Robinsons website. For some

reasson, I just can’t get my score up over 3,000 on that one game where you play as Wilbur trying to get back

home in his dad’s ship…

Over there at the Animation Nation message boards a user named

Eric Hedman who worked on MTR says he pretty excited about it:

He then goes on to

say he can’t wait for Ratatouille, and wishes Cars had

one the Oscars.

For me: I’m getting more and more excited as I find out that more and more John and

company had an effect on this picture. And as a huge bonus, we get to see the Ratatouille trailer too! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and

Wink" />

March 30th here I come!!!

EDIT – Oops! Forgot the

Did you guys know that John

Lasseter is the executive producer? Now I cannot wait to see this movie.

Really!? Wow, that’s pretty cool!!!

Gasduude - Thanks for the information, dude.

PixarVixen - I must say that I absolutely

love your new signature. I saw that picture on the official website and I went,

“Pffff…”. I was laughing so hard. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m going to second that! I actually came over to

this MTR topic to tell you so, before Mitch beat me to it!
