Midnight release?

Is it confirmed that this movie will have a midnight release? Do most movies? I don’t know that much about movie so I was just wondering.

I was wondering about that myself. I mean, it’s summer, it’s just asking for one.

Doesn’t that usually depend on individual cinema chains? I don’t really know much about this either, though I do know that my local cinema, for example, seems to pick and choose which films it wants to release at midnight, presumably ones that they believe will do well at such a time. They’ve never released a Pixar film at midnight before, but it does seem to be down to the cinema’s discretion.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong though, as that is rather likely.

But don’t they sometimes advertise midnight showings on TV commercials?

I think it does depend on the individual cinema. I’m pretty sure my cinema has never had a midnight release of any film, and I know it isn’t having one for Toy Story 3. But my town’s theater is very small (only 2 screens), and there are only 1 or 2 showings on each screen per night, soooo yeah  . But bigger theaters might have a midnight showing, who knows!

I sure hope that they have midnight showings  although, I could see why they wouldn’t since it’s a “kid” movie

I can only assume that the theater in my states capital city in the huge mall would have a midnight release, if not I’m going to like the 10 am one

Considering there’s a large audience of teens that would probably go see it at midnight, including myself, it would be successful. But if it is the theater’s descision, a lot of them aren’t gonna think like that, and just assume it’s a kids movie and therefore no midnight release…

I was going to go to the midnight release but I have a big exam that day.

It does depend in the Cinema. I work at AMC and I know that the AMC company decides if it is going to have a midnight show or not. Usually, AMC are good for those kind of things, especially since I am the one serving popcorn until 1:00A A.M. :stuck_out_tongue:
But, I am not sure…I’ll ask my manager though and get back to you guys!

I’ve been planning to go to the midnight release.
One of my closest movie theatre always has midnight releases for movies, even kid ones like “How To Train Your Dagon”!

Meh, as much as I desperately can’t wait to see the film, I probably won’t be wanting to see the film on opening night. Not many of my friends I know will be available that time and I’d much rather prefer waiting a couple more hours to see it on Friday Night on June 18 with a bunch of my friends who also grew up with Toy Story
