What would you guys say Mirage’s occupation is?
She works with Syndrome as an assistant?
I always felt like she had an even more significant role than the film than it let on. However my opinion from the movie was that she was something between a glorified secreatary and a lieutenant.
Now the fanfics out have her anywhere between wifey and the real brains behind operation.
A good question.
Hmm…Well, I quite like Haunt’s suggestion of ‘secretary’ (especially as they’re known for having flings with the boss ) but she does seem quite involved in Syndrome’s projects, though at the same time I wouldn’t say she’s behind them all or anything. So ‘glorified secretary with benefits and a bit more influence’ sounds good to me.
Well, I’ve said this before in another thread, but I think maybe Mirage got hooked in as a secretary/assistant, and her job is to keep everything running smoothly. But, as she worked for Syndrome, I think they got into a more deep relationship (that could’ve very easily made Mirage very uncomfortable). So, I guess “Glorified Secretary” would be the best word for her. Though I don’t think she’s all bad, she just got messed up with the wrong people.
She was definitely his secretary, the one who contacted other supers and most likely the one who kept things okay with outsiders…but at the same time she played a large role in the developement of the program due to the fact that she personally investigated possible superheros and helped interrigate Mr. Incredible…she has to be a Very Prominent Secretary that Syndrome fell for and basically upgraded so that she could help control more due to her ability to help run things smoothly.
I see her as a secretary/assistant who honestly applied for a job for much the same reason that anyone else would, maybe a little bit more drawn to the “power” of the whole situation, as she more or less says over dinner with Bob.
Syndrome, lonely and power-drunk, became more infatuated with her than she’s comfortable with, although it seems like she sort of turned a blind eye to that in the name of success. Eventually, of course, her morals got the best of her.
Officially? I guess she was some sort of Chief Operating Officer
I’d say that she’s his assistant. She’s my favorite character in the film
I’m not sure really. I think she’s more than just a secretary, especially since at the beginning she’s actually out scouting for Mr I. And like it’s been said, she does seem to know quite a bit about Syndrome’s operations. I’m not sure if I’d place her at just assistant either. I get the feeling she must be in charge of something or someone.
