On Craigslist, I was just searching for whatever came to mind, and I found a yellow band Buzz Lightyear in box for $15. For those of you who don’t know, this was the first edition of the original Thinkway Buzzes, who sold out in a jiffy, and that’s why they’re so rare and valuable. The price was negotiable, so I asked $10, and he was cool with that. I after I claimed it, I was going to pick up this bad boy as soon as I could, but he sent me an e-mail that it sold already. [insert profanity here]!
As in the purple bands on his suit were yellow? -Omar
No, the band around the front of the packaging was yellow, like this:

Yup, that’s it. Now, if my funds only allowed for it, I would attempt to backdoor the backdoorer in this situation (I’m guessing even after I secured the deal, some guy just threw a wad of cash at him to make it his).

Someone else emailed him to buy it, but was told that it was already sold (but not yet picked up)

The other buyer offered a LOT more money to “outbid” you

The greedy seller jumped at the offer, despite having made a deal with you already

I also have the first generation Woody box, near mint. I saved all of my boxes in 95, because I knew one day they might need a home, prospector style, hahah.

I mean, it’s not like I needed this guy, butI definately wasn’t going to simply flip it for a quick buck on eBay. It’s just one of those cool things that I could keep to display (maybe even next to my first, beat-up Buzz). Plus, I’m currently saving up for when a '95 shows surfaces on eBay.
The box would be shipping only, I’m not going to sell a box for profit…as long as I know its staying in your hands. Its setting up in my parents attic with the other toy story boxes, and like I said, I gave away that buzz to a kid so I have no use for the near mint box. It is indeed the yellow band version.
