A bad habit of mine. (snigger) Alright then…
I
will succeed next time! I’m gonna draw Boo once more,
color it up, and make it look good.
Seriously though, I do like your
optimistic view of things, The Star Swordsman. You’re right in that I really
shouldn’t be getting down on myself, but that’s what happens when one “inherets” family traits.
(snigger)
But if you get down on
yourself, it will affect you in your work. I hate to say it, but take the boo pic. I think your unconfidence
probably did not make it as stunning as it could be.

Mmm…nope. I ain’t taking it down…and for two good
reasons:
1. I was, indeed, confident when I drew it. It’s just that it
didn’t turn out so good because I can’t figure out exactly how to sketch the character correctly. You could say
that it was more like a practice sketch…
2. If I keep it up, I’ll be able
to see what mistakes I made and then correct them the next time I draw Boo.
There you have it. Sorry to
say it, but I’m not gonna let anyone rule my life. I’ve done that too many times to boot.
Don’t
worry – the next time I draw Boo I will make sure it looks better. (snigger)
Boo is a difficult one to draw, because despite the fact that she is one of the main
characters of MI, you sort of don’t see as much of her as you’d expect, especially her face. I like the style
in which you’ve drawn her eyes and nose, and I definitely think that colouring her up would improve her a lot.

lizardgirl - Yeah, she’s
alot harder to draw than you think. It seems as if all computer-animated characters are somewhat difficult to
sketch in some way…due to their almost… (how shall I say it?) …“4-D” like quality.
But
yeah – thanks for commenting, in any case! I’m gonna try to draw her again and will definitely color her up
next time.
The Star Swordsman - Heh – sorry for my little
“outburst” there in my previous post (I was rather grumpy that day). I hope I didn’t offend you in any
way. Heck, I’m gonna make it up to you and draw another Violet picture.
Another Violet picture? Oh plese do by all means! I will
love this one no matter the out come.

Le Sweet Smell of Success:

Ok, so I’m not as proud of this as I should be. Pay no heed to the horrible, hideous feet that I cannot draw
no matter how hard I try. Someone could hold me at gunpoint and I still couldn’t
sketch out a decent pair of feet.
On the plus side, I think I finally got
the basic model of Remy down. This particular drawing was copied from that part in the
Ratatouille trailer where Remy is sniffing a carton of cream/milk.
The Star Swordsman - I’ll get on that Violet drawing tomorrow.
Update: Here’s your Violet, The Star
Swordsman! I just finished it only
recently…

Hallelujah for Photoshop.

Eheh – I really had to go to the bathroom a couple of days ago and so I
drew…this:
Sorry it’s so light. My dad actually drew the initial sketch (since I couldn’t figure out the anatomy),
and then I just copied it in my own style; it actually looks quite similar to my dad’s drawing.
Squash
and stretch is something new to me (I’ve heard of it…but never practiced it until now), so I’m glad that I’m
finally starting to get into it.
Does this
scene follow your previous Remy drawing?
Your Violet is very cute, but if I may critique…Her
neck should be thin.
Oh, and I just scrolled up and saw your Boo sketches. Cute!
I
honestly think you have massive potential if you keep drawing. If animation is a career you want to pursue, draw
draw draw, girl! It’s the only way you can get better.
~~=oP
I agree with PV on this part. Every aspect of Violet is absolutely incredible. Her neck is
really huge compare to what is commonly seen in the movie. But like PV said. Continue and do your best.

Puh-ha! Oh man, you
made my sister and I laugh so hard.
Heheh – yes, I definitely should have made Violet’s neck
thinner. Thanks for the suggestion/critique, though! I certainly appreciate any tips/help I can get so as to
continue to improve my artwork.
And yep, I finally made up my mind yesterday: I’m going to
be an animator! See me at Pixar in…ohhh…five years or less.
The Star Swordsman - Thanks, dude! I’ll fix the neck problem next time I
draw her (which will probably be soon; I’m starting to like drawing Violet now…).

Pixfan -
Heheh – right on! high-fives back
An animator will I be! Because I can draw, see?
I’m so
happy… Ah heck, I gotta stop with the rhymes.
(snigger) Thank you very much,
Pixfan!
Heheh. Okay! See ya there!
~~=oP
Congratulations on your
decision, Mitch! You’ve always seemed like a very talented person!
Eheh -
Not much of an artist – but you’ll probably find me in the Technical Department in
seven or eight years…
Whoo-hoo! See you there!
I see you love to draw Violet. Could you draw another
one?
Mitch

PV and
Gasduude - Haha – alright! See you guys there!
The Star
Swordsman - Yep – no problem! I like to draw Violet now (surprise surprise), so I’m gonna start
sketching her more often. I’ll do another picture of Violet later (hopefully it will be a full sketch and not
just the first part of her body).
I’m in a super
Ratatouille craze right now, so the pictures on the subject are probably gonna flow
in. Man, that new trailer was awesome!
I bet that, after the Violet Picture, you will go on a craze on pictures in the trailer.

Oh yeah, are you kidding?
I’m going to pause so many scenes for reference… I’ll probably have to buy a few new pencils.
But
yeah – I’ll get to your Violet picture later.
I can’t wait for it. And the Ratatouille pics too. I can’t wait for that.
