Mitch's Art

nI love that picture so much Mitch!!!

Spider-Man - Heheh –

thanks! One of my more…sophisticated sketches. (snigger)

Man, I’m so

mad. I cannot, for the life of me, draw people

correctly. I tried to sketch out another Violet for you, The Star Swordsman, but

alas!..no luck. I guess I’m not in the mood for drawing humans this morning. I’ll try again

later…

Even worse is the fact that my art stinks compared to some other people’s art. I’ll go on

deviantArt and there will be these beautiful sketches of simple characters that I can only hope to draw. Of

course, it takes years to learn how to create an image with a pencil in two seconds flat (and fluently, for that

matter), so I shouldn’t be complaining. (snigger)

And no, I’m not getting

too down on myself, The Star Swordsman. I’m just using a comparison. At least my

art is better than it used to be, so at least I’m happy for something.

On the plus side, here are

some very rough Remy and Emile sketches:

1, 2, and 3 are Remy.
4, 5, and 6 are Emile.

Sorry the ‘4’ is almost invisible.

(snigger) Oh, and Emile is balancing an apple on his nose in picture 6 if you’re wondering.

Aw thay both look so cute great job Mitch!!!

Great job with the pictures as always, Mitch!!!

Heheh – thanks, guys!

I’m thinking of drawing Tippy from One Man Band. You know, I believe I

will…

I

think you did a fairly good job with the drawings. Not much for me to sayy. But keep up the good work.

Haha – I’ll

do better next time, I promise. The Ratatouille trailer is up in HD format now

(finally), so I’ll be able to look at the characters a little closer, thank

goodness.

Oh, and I’ll get on that Violet drawing tomorrow. I’ll do Tippy too, if I can.

It is going to be incredible. I can guarentee that.

You are so ecited for the trailer, there is no way you can botch the drawing up. I can’t wait for it. Especially

the Violet one.

Yeah! I finally almost got her on model. Could be worse, I guess. :stuck_out_tongue:

People are so darn hard to draw. Heheh – enjoy anyway.

Yay Violet looks so cute. I love

this picture. I think you did the body the best. The hair looks elegant too. Nice work.

Heheh –

well thank you, sir. Much appreciated. Don’t worry; I’ll get better at drawing as I gain more experience.

Practice makes perfect. But yeah – thanks for the compliment!

Tippy is next. I’ll do the best I can

on her. I’m also working on a little animated thing of Remy jumping over a can – so far, it’s looking

good!

That is true. And after your practice with Violet, guess

how good Tippy is gonna be?

I like it!

You did a great job with making her personality come through…very good!

Thanks

guys.

Rat Animation:

Welp, I finally finished the dang thing! This particular animated sequence is one that I actually

copied from a page in a book which depicted a mouse jumping over a thimble. The only differences here are that I

made the mouse a rat (a young Remy, in this case) and changed the thimble to a tuna can. The entire sequence took

two days total to complete.

As you can see, this is the very first time

I’ve ever done an animated sequence. The lesson here for today, kids, is that animation is

hard! And yet, it was the most fun I’ve ever had with a pencil in years. Obviously,

quite a few mistakes are noticeable. The pencil I used to draw the sequence was the smudge king of pencils, hence

the apparent “smudge and black” spots on the paper. Also, you’ll notice that the tuna can keeps

getting smaller and smaller with each step. I’ll have to fix that next time I do something like this… :stuck_out_tongue:

But anyways, enjoy it! Any criticisms and/or compliments are welcome.

– Mitch

Holy shoot!

Mitch, I gotta tell you, you have a future as an animator at Pixar! Of course that

animation is kind of an hard process, but with some practise, you can get there!
BTW, the rat is

soooooooooooooooo cuuuuuute!

I cannot believe

that you drew this yourself!!! What a fantastic job!!!

Maggie - Haha – thank you very much! Yep, I’m gonna be an animator all right.

Drawing is downright fun! Thanks again – heheh.

Bill - Thanks, dude!

Mitch, this is off topic, but I wanted to ask you:

where do you live (city)? If you don’t wanna answer, it’s alright with me

Maggie - Ehhh…I’d rather keep that classified, if that’s ok.

Just for personal reasons – heheh. But, just to give you a hint, I live about…mmm…a couple days away from

Emeryville, I imagine. Maybe longer, even though I live in California. So yeah, there you have it.

I

haven’t done Tippy yet, but I’ll get on it. People are so hard to do that I’m

rather nervous about doing her. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, and I did a picture of Ham! That’s something different. I’ll

color and post it up later…

Wow, great job! You’ve got the

“squash and stretch” and everything!
