Bill - Heheh – much obliged, Bill!
Sorry I haven’t been online in some time, but I had to "get a few things out
of my system" over the past few days; and let me tell you, I sure am glad that I did. My system is
“cleared out” and I feel completely satisfied and carefree. Families are wonderful units of the
universe in which we live, even if conflicts arise. And by golly, I’m glad my family is a great one…
But back to drawing! Ah yes – the drawing. I haven’t really been in the “sketching” mood
until recently, which is why I only have this one sheet of paper for you to view:
“Free-style” Remy
Sketches

Again, you may recognize them from the "Art of
Ratatouille" book (of “whose” sketches I can’t get enough of). These particular
pieces of artwork are very loosely composited, hence the term “free-style”. (I just call it
“free-style” because, well, that’s what it looks like! Heheh.)
Note to
self: Draw Waternoose.
What can I say except a very nice job again. I love this
one.
And take as much time as you need on Waternoose. We all know he’s a difficult character to draw.
Maybe I should take a crack at him, hehe.
Heheh – thanks, Bill!
And yeah,
Waternoose looks like a difficult character to tackle. However, I’m gonna take a shot at him anyway!
Hey, I
remember those drawings! And it’s not from the Art of Ratatouille, I believe they
appeared on a podcast.
Anyways, your version is reeeally cute! I love
every single pose of Remy, he looks absolutely adorable. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In
Love" />
Maggie - Nope – I know for a fact that they’re
from the “Art of Ratatouille” book, because I copied out a page of the
book that contains those drawings.
And thank you!
I think I’m up for the challenge myself also, need some type of motivation.
Great job on those Remy pics Mitch, I can see the improvement.
Thank you, Pixfan!
Remy looks really good, but you have heard that a lot you? Nice work.
The Star Swordsman - Heheh
– I’ve heard it too many times, but I appreciate the compliments all the same. It’s inspiring, as it is to
many artists.
Thank you!
And
the more art you post, the more inspired you will get. am i right?
How very correct you are,
sir!
I will attempt to tackle Waternoose sometime tomorrow, if I feel up to it…
well, just incase you are open for more requests, i am
going to ask for more incredibles please.
The Star Swordsman - I have actually felt like drawing
Violet for some time, so you just might see a “portrait” of her up before
Waternoose.
Ah thamks! i can’t wait to see it. good luck.
I heard the name Violet and came running.
Heheh – you guys are funny. Welp, you got your wish!
Violet Parr –
Invisigirl

girl.jpg[/img]
Ha! I finally drew Violet in a
decent and accurate light this time around! (Thank
goodness…)
Tools Used:
Pencil -
Initial drawing/rough outline.
Black pen - Used to darken main
foundation/structure/base.
Derwent colored pencils - Final coloration.
I’m actually quite pleased with how it turned out, even though I probably shouldn’t brag. (snigger)
Consider it a late birthday present, The Star Swordsman!
–
Mitch
Dude, that’s
AWESOME!!!
Violet looks incredible, I love her pose and the lighting!
I can’t wait to see what’s TSS going to write…
Maggie - Haha – thank you
very much! I just realized that there are a few “technical difficulties” associated with it, but oh
well. It’s too late to fix 'em now! (snigger)
And yeah: The Star
Swordsman is gonna have a fit.
Mitch - Just one question:
was it very difficult to draw the hands? You know, I can’t draw them very well, and I wanted to know your
opinion…
