Mitch's Art

Wow, I didn’t think you’d kill off Remy! :frowning:

Still, nice work.

At first I thought he was sleeping. But now that you explained it, it looks like he has peacefully passed away, with his favourite thing - food. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

Love" /> A clever idea - wouldn’t have thought of that. I like it.

Mitch- Oh I know you’re not totally against the guy, I understand. And you’re welcome. :stuck_out_tongue:

Your drawing of Remy dead is making me sad, but it’s wonderfully done. I can’t think of a better way for him to leave this world.

Texas - Thanks!

The Star Swordsman - Much obliged.

Gasduude - Yeah, I’m mad today! My stinkin’ sister drove me up the wall this morning and I typed out a whole report on a previous event…only to have it deleted. Needless to say, I was rather bummed out; I was all, “I have to kill something!”. looks at Remy

Pfff. Nah – I’m just joking there. I don’t know why I’m acting all crazy today. Blame it on the rat. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks, by the way!

rachel - Thank you, rachel.

sharpie - Aww – I hope I didn’t make anyone cry. Oh well… Thanks anyway!

Lol. Welp, that’s settled then. (snigger)

Yeah, the dead Remy pic did make me a bit sad, too. But I’m ok.

What does “welp” mean, btw?

Mitch - Now that’s something I didn’t expect from you. :open_mouth:

I was a little bit sad too, but you made him look so peaceful… Great job!

rachel - Yeah, I don’t know what was wrong with me that day. Shame on me! (snigger)

Maggie - Cha – I went wack yesterday. I don’t think I’ll draw something like that again for a good, long while. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks!

Haha. That’s just my funny way of sayiing “Well”.

Mitch- It can be very difficult to draw something like that, but you’ve handled it really well. You’re very right in drawing Remy as though he is sleeping, since rodents do tend to look as though they’re sleeping when, in fact, they’ve passed on. His content expressions is very sweet, and once again, you’ve captured his lovely furiness. The shading could be a little softer and more graded, but you pointed that out yourself. A very touching piece of art.

lizardgirl - Thank you very much!

Yeah, it’s sad when they pass on. Take my last rat, for example. I could have sworn he was sleeping. (sigh) Ah well…

Skinner:

Alright, I’ll admit it: I had fun drawing Skinner.

Truth be told, the shading job looks much better on the paper – stinkin’ scanner messed it up a little bit. Oh, and if he looks like a monkey in this particular sketch, well, it’s because that was the general idea. ('Tis an inside joke by my sister and I…) :stuck_out_tongue:

I hope ya’ like it, Bill (and everyone else out there)!

Excellent drawing! I must ask this: what’s with the bottom half of him? It’s like, um, like he’s got a net or something on him. The top part is shaded well though.

I hope this doesn’t offend you in any way.

Skinner looks really, really good. I don’t think there is anything wrong with the picture. It looks really good. I love it. The shading is really good.

I’ll tell ya this, your human sketches are improving every time!

Keep up the good work!

sharpie - The “netting” is actually the bottom half of his chef’s outfit. In the picture that I used as reference, there is a very light stripped pattern on his outfit. I guess I made it a little too dark, hence the “netted” look.

Thanks for the tip, though! I’m not offended at all. Pour out the critique! I can always use more of it.

And thank you!

The Star Swordsman - Thanks, dude!

Pixfan - Thanks alot, Pixfan! Much obliged.

Like it? I think it looks amazing! I couldn’t ask for a better sketch. Congratulations, you’ve just made this member very happy. " Two thumbs way up. " The shading is incredible, as is the detail of the whole piece.

Bill - Haha. I’m glad you approve, Bill! Thank you very much.

That particular sketch was actually my second attempt at drawing Skinner; my first wasn’t turning out so well and so I decided to just redo the entire drawing. I sure am glad that I did, as I actually put some effort into it this time!

Again, thanks a bunch!

Lookin’ good, Mitch!
Hehe, I like that in-joke between you and your sis…

Maggie - Thank you, Maggie!

Haha! Yeah, go here and read the little description I wrote down concering the in-joke between my sister and I:

He’s an escape convict from the zoo! Trust me. :stuck_out_tongue:

Mitch- Yay! Skinner! I love the way his face looks all scrunched up, and his folded arms look great. His fingers seem a bit flat, so a little more emphasis on certain shadows could do the trick. But, all in all, brilliant! I love his monkey-ness.

Mitch - OMG, that story just killed me! I was laughing all the time!

lizardgirl - Thank you, lizardgirl!

Yep – the fingers need work. I’m gonna have to hone my skills concerning that aspect. Yay for critique! Heheh.

Maggie - Haha! I’m glad ya’ liked it!
