hehe, cute drawing Mitch. I really like what the blue pencil does to your drawings.
Can’t wait for the Skinner sketch, Mitch. I’ll be sure to look out for it.
Also, the deviantArt account didn’t work out so I’ll have to try something else. Do you have any suggestions? I was thinking along the lines of using Photobucket. And I’ve recently bought The Art of Ratatouille . I’ll be sketching like crazy, but I’ll take my time.
You guys deserve nothing but the best after all.
Once again, can’t wait for the Skinner sketch.
Mitch- A beautiful sketch of Remy! I love how one of his ears is really perked up, and he looks very calm, and almost sleepy! Nice shading as well, although I think the shading on his face is more carefully done than on the body- a little more contrast on the body would make it more complete. But a beautiful sketch all in all- that slight smile and tuft of hair on the top of his head are just so sweet!
Mitch, that’s a very cool drawing of Remy! I love his facial expressions, especially at that part (And when he looks down Linguini’s pants! XD).
Mitch: What do you have next in store for all of us?
Bill - I’m trying to think of how to do Skinner’s lips at the moment (oh, the horror!). It should be done soon, though…
As for uploading pictures, I would suggest Photobucket. IMG tags are attatched to each piece you submit so as you can post the link to the picture up on any website, even this one!
lizardgirl - Thank you very much!
Yeah, the picture is only half-finished, hence the light contrast of the body against the face. Also, the placement of his “eyebrows” are anatomically incorrect; Remy’s “eye tufts” should not come together in one big clump on top of his head, but they look cuter in that position (in my opinion)…so I did it up like that anyway. I’m glad you like it!
JesusFreak - Oh gosh, I have to draw that facial expression of Remy’s after he looks down at Linguini’s pants/underwear! It’s drop-dead hilarious. When I get the DVD I’m gonna draw it.
Thank you!
The Star Swordsman - Here is ze list:
Skinner
Waternoose
I also have Rick Dicker to do, but I’m starting to contemplate on whether or not I should draw him. I’m kinda scared to, as I’m worried I’m gonna mess it up.
Edit:
Remy - Collaboration:
I’ve been seeing alot of Linguini fanart around the internet lately. He’s everywhere. Linguini, Linguini, Linguini. Screw Linguini! Remy is much cuter, in my humble opinion.
waits for the pots and pans to come flying in her direction
What a great sketch, Mitch . And get ready for some negativity coming you’re way… you’ve enranged tons of Linguini fans. Thankfully, I’m not one of them ( I might get some negativity for saying that ).
Oh, and thanks for the Photobucket suggestion. I’ve created my account there, and I hope to have my fan art thread up within a few weeks.
To be honest, I haven’t been drawing as much as I used to, but I’m about to change course. Just give me some time to draw a number of sketches. Trust me, none of you will be dissapointed.
Aww, Remy looks cute with the salt shaker…or whatever it is!
Nice job, Mitch!
Can’t wait, Bill!
Bill - Lol. Yeah, that was the point. I’m gonna see how many negative remarks I get out of that. Seriously, though, Remy is cuter. I think…
I can’t wait to see your drawings, dude!
Gasduude - Thanks!
More like knives!
No, I think Remy is cute, too. I’ll probably think he is even cuter after seeing the movie. I must say that you are getting a lot better at sketching Remy, Mitch. My fav sketch is him giving the sly look on the bottom right - the eyes are the best.
PS Sorry, if I can’t give good, critical feedback - I’m not an illustrator so sometimes I don’t know what to say.
Brace yourself, Mitch, there’s a storm coming! I’m kidding, if that’s how you feel then okay.
Your drawings are adorable and I really love that one on the top right with Remy holding his tail. I can’t think of any advise to give so that’s a good sign. Keep it up!
Mitch: The sketch is wonderful! Nice work! It looks so perfect! I can’t wait to see the next ones.
Haha!
rachel - Heheh. Thank you! And yeah, my drawing skills are (finally) advancing…after all these years! You should have seen my first attempts at drawing Remy; they were hideous!
sharpie - Oh no, I’m not that hostile against the dude. I think that Linguini is the most awesome garbage boy on the face of the earth! My problem is that I’m more of an animal person… (snigger)
Thanks for the comment!
The Star Swordsman - Much obliged!
Oh, no problem. Don’t worry about it. I appreciate any comments.
Mitch: You are welcome! Can’t wait for the next ones.
This is the last Remy drawing before the Skinner sketch! I promise!
That Sweet Smell of Lavender:
For those who are wondering: No, he’s not sleeping.
“How? How could you, Mitch?!” you ask? Because I can, that’s why.
Seriously, though, I’ve wanted to draw a death sequence for the longest time; I just never found the heart (or the courage) to do so until now. I was actually spurred to draw it after I scanned a Ratatouille comic on dA in which Remy…passes on. However, the comic was so funny that I cracked up laughing and then felt like I should draw something similar…since I’d wanted to for some time anyway.
I must comment on the fact that this has to be the worst shading job I’ve done in a while. I just kind of rushed through the piece at the end. I was already bummed that I couldn’t get his expression just right. Death scenes are so stinkin’ hard to draw! I wanted to make it look like the last thing he felt/smelled was this strawberry, and then “left” with a smile on his face, but it doesn’t really look how I wanted it to turn out. Sheesh… (snigger)
Please ignore the stupid title. I have no idea why I thought of that specific sentence/title, of all things.
– Mitch
He looks really good Mitch!!! I see every time I see a new drawing of yours it gets better and better!!! Nice work Mitch!!!
Well you made sure you elaborated on the “peace” part of RIP.
Well done Mitch. I see you’ve gotten attached to that blue pencil eh?
Spider-Man - Thanks, dude!
Pixfan - Thank you very much!
Blue pencils rock.
Heheh. Yep – exactly.
Mitch, he looks so adorable!
Yea! Remy looks really adorable and blue! I love it! Nice work.
