Mitch's Art

Wow, he looks all dazzled and dazzed, but the picture is really making me

hungry. NIce work MItch.

rachel - I swear that it was soda!

Yep.

It was, indeed, partly inspired by that particular moment in the movie. However, there is more to it that would

require a bit of explaining on my part… Eheheh.

I’ll post up my dad’s version later on.

The Star Swordsman - Thank you!

Totally welcome Mtich. Can’t wait for more.

Mitch: Awww, family collab! I’m jealous! So adorable!
How cool is it that

art runs in your family? Way cool. :sunglasses:

Ha! Loved it, Mitch!

The Star Swordsman, Haunt,

and Gasduude - Thank you all!

Update: Here

is the original sketch, drawn by my dad:

Dad whipped this up in about two seconds, and, as you can see, it is considerably more honor-worthy than the

one I conjured up. But, of course, that’s because dad has had more experience!

Hmm, your dad draws really well. I now know where you got

your great drawing style from. Both you and your dad are marvelous artists.

Well, thanks! I’m sure he’d appreciate it.

You are really welcome Mitch.

Well, let me be honest and say that experience does count - your mother’s drawing looks a good bit more “well rounded” than yours.

But hey, yours is still awesome!

Gasduude - Actually, my dad is the one who composed the sketch, but yep, you’re definitely right. After I’ve had a good 30+ years of experience it won’t be so difficult for me to draw something in two seconds.

Thanks, though, dude!

Mitch- I love the concept, and both the versions of it are great! But as you said, time and experience will mean that you will keep developing as an artist, and will one day be as good as your dad!

lizardgirl - Heheh. Well, thank you very much! And yes, my point exactly.

That sketch that your dad did is so awesome, Mitch. He’s very talented. In fact, I noticed some similarities between you are your dad’s drawing style.

rachel - Much obliged, dude! I should tell my dad what all of you guys think about his sketches. Heheh.

Cha! Ain’t it awesomely bizarre? It makes perfect sense, but I never expected that my drawing style would turn out to be almost identical to his.

Mitch

P.S. The first series of “surprises” should make an untimely appearance sometime today, if things go well. Keep an eye out!

Dang. You’re pretty good! x] Much better then what I can do XD I love your drawing style. It’s great

Deidara - Well, thank you!

I appreciate it.

Surprise #1 - Tony Rydinger:

Oh gosh, this is so horrible. Oh gosh, avert your eyes…! Seriously, somebody kill me…

Eheh. Yes, well, umm…this is my first in the series of “surprises” that I was telling you guys about. You see, you all were so nice to me on my birthday that I’ve decided that I will draw each of you a picture of a Pixar character. Since PV was the first one to wish me a happy birthday, she gets the first entry.

I’m sorry it’s so horrible, PV, but I hope you like it! I did say (some time ago)
that I might draw Tony Rydinger at one point in time, so here he is! The sketch itself took approxiamately five minutes to draw, but I wish it had come out better. Truth be told, my human anatomy skills are terrible. Heck, I wasn’t satisfied with the first Rydinger I did, so I drew another one. Needless to say, I like the second version more, but still…

Oh well. I did my best, and I shall continue to do so. You guys know that I can draw animals decently, but don’t expect the people to turn out like you want them to.
On the plus side, each of you who wished me a happy birthday are gonna get a picture! No requests! I’m just gonna draw what comes to mind, with the occassional exception
(ie., PV likes Tony, so I drew him for her; Maggie and rachel like Linguini, soooo…).

Again, I’m sorry about the horrible quality of this drawing! I will do my best to improve! I’m actually rather glad that I took a shot at Tony, as I need to practice drawing humans more often anyway.

– Mitch

Mitch - It doesn’t look that bad. The shading is extremely well done. My advice: Take a screenshot of him and practice twenty times. But I’m absolutely positive PV will love it. Don’t be so hard on yourself, you do fantastic work.

Bill - I swear, I copied this particular screenshot exactly as it appeared, yet I still can’t get it right! Freakin’… (snigger)

Eheh. Thank you, though. I sure hope that PV likes it. The sketch itself is so bad that I’m ashamed of myself for even pasting it up. :stuck_out_tongue:
