Mitch's Glitches

Cars_Nemo_Fan: Sounds great. I apologize for not getting back to you sooner, by the way. Work and school have creeped up on me…

I sent you my e-mail address and will proceed to put the screencaps to good use once I receive them. I will attempt to render some of the images in my dad’s Photoshop program, but I can’t guarantee that the edges will come out smooth and “nonjagged”. However, I shall do my best. The rest of the photos I shall send on over to Pixfan for “completion”.

Thank you, by the way! I am quite enjoying my newfound source of “power”.

– Mitch

What have you got planned for next time Mitch?

The Star Swordsman - Next up will be a (hopefully large) batch of Finding Nemo graphics, a few Ratatouille images, and, if I feel up to it, some “Incredibles” stuff for you.

– Mitch

TI stuff? Oh, I can hardly wait!

It’s quite alright Mitch. School is very important and should be put before fun. I sent you the caps, by the way.

You don’t have to worry about jagged edges as long as you do not use MS Paint, as it uses pixel resize for resizing & scaling pictures, whereas ‘all’ others, like Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop and many more let you choose and among the choices, you will find pixel resize too. When I resize, I use the ‘smart resize’ option.

Take your time

Cars_Nemo_Fan - Thank you very much, dude. I’ll polish up half of the images in Photoshop when I find some time to do so. The rest I shall send to Pixfan for “tweaking”.

I was…busy a couple of days ago. I found some time to crack a few jokes with my sister and then transport them to Photoshop. Turns out that I discovered a couple of new features in the program in the process. T’was pretty cool!

All of the images you see below were edited in Photoshop CS2, with the exception of the very last one. Unfortunately, some of the images turned out a little choppy and “freaked” because I failed to upload them in a PNG format (which displays the image itself in its original, polished state). It kinda sucks, but at least they look fairly decent, especially the “Intelligence” one, thank the Lord.

Ratatouille - Decorative:

Ratatouille - Inside Jokes by “Da’ Sistas”:

Alright-y, well, here’s the “run-down”:

Decorative Pictures:
#2 - My mom thought of the caption for this one, so a portion of the credit goes to her.

Inside Jokes:
#1 and #16 - My sister thought of the jokes/captions for these two, which is why I’m laughing at ‘em right now. (snigger)
#6 - My sister and I say a portion of this phrase a lot (as in once a day, if we’re lucky). Henceforth, it was inevitable that we would use it at some point. Heheh.
#10 - The dude on the right looks like he’s/she’s gonna have a seizure or something, sooo…voila’.
#12 - All of you Galaxy Quest fans will get this joke. (snigger)
#15 - Zis one was created specifically for Brad Bird. Hopefully, he won’t be too offended if he looks at that… (snigger)

All of the rest of the jokes were concocted by moi, which is why they are so stupid and…tasteless. I suppose that I shouldn’t take it too hard on myself, however, as I did laugh at a good portion of my own jokes. That’s a good thing, folks! Never underestimate the power of idiocy. :stuck_out_tongue:

– Mitch

Oh, may I P L E A S E use the “La Ratatouille” one? <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/youwhaaa.gif” alt=“o_0;;” title="You

Whaaa…" />

They are all so great! (and no underwear jokes, to my surprise 8D ) I especially like the “Intelligence”, “When Emile Grew”, and the “Nasty Flea” ones.

(and don’t worry, I don’t think Brad knows where you live 8D)

A113 - Thank you very much! And, yes, feel free to use any signature you choose to “wear”.

As for the whole deal concerning Brad Bird: He may not know my location, but he can access a computer. :stuck_out_tongue:

– Mitch

Some of them were funny. Some of them were confusing. But all of them had one thing in common. They were all enjoyable. Really nice work Mitch. I can tell you had so much fun with it. Keep it up!

Awesome! They’re all so great. I enjoyed looking at every single one of those. It’s so hard to choose a favourite… but I’ll try.

  • Understand: Because it’s from one of the most intensive parts of the film, and yeah, Colette does finally get it at that point.
  • Daaang: Simply for the look on Linguini’s and Remy’s faces - and the caption is just so funny.
  • When Emile Grew: Ha-ha! Genius!
  • YES: Argh! Remy’s looking at me! His eyes look scary there. But it’s a great inside joke for Brad Bird fans.

But my favourite would have to go to:

  • Courage: Just look at Remy. He may be small, but he was the one in the room who had the most guts. Probably one of my fav sigs you’ve ever done.

Great work, as usual, Mitch. I can’t wait to see more from you. :sunglasses:

Thanks, Mitch! I’ve been dying for a signature with that scene for a long time, but I don’t have a DVD player in my computer or anything. Well, anyway…from this:
…to this:

It looks great! Thanks again!

Those are all great, Mitch! Your new style is awesome! I love the closet one- jus the thought of Remy saying ‘dang’ makes me laugh. But they’re all awesome!

First of all, I’d like to thank you all for the kind comments! If any of you have any suggestions as so I can improve my work, please don’t hesitate to pour them out.

The Star Swordsman - Thank you very much, dude!

rachel - Haha. Well, thank you! I kinda like the “Courage” one, as well, especially seeing as it’s the first one I did and one of the only PSD images that came out decent, besides “Intelligence”. I’m glad you like it.

As for the “dang” thing: Yeah, my sister and I say that all the time, too. The stuff we do is off-the-hook. You could take a piece of toilet paper and we’d make a joke out of it. :stuck_out_tongue:

And, cha, I couldn’t (and didn’t want to) find a screencap of Remy where it looks as if he’s saying "Yes!’ without capturing an image of him actually uttering that in that one easter egg. He’s freakin’ me out, too. Perhaps I should have found a less frightening shot…? (snigger)

A113 - You’re welcome! I’m glad that you’re enjoying your new “outfit”.

lizardgirl - Thank you, dudette!

– Mitch

No probs, Mitch.

Uhhhh, comment or suggestions? The only suggestion I would make is that you save them in .png format, but you’ve covered that already. Sometimes I forget and yeah, it’s really frustrating 'cause then all your work is pixelated!

But other than that, I don’t really have any critque 'cause they are all so clever and creative.

I also have a question: where is the flea from?

A113: That sig looks better than I expected. It looks great on you!

rachelcakes1985: Yes, much better than the old flashy A113 one, huh? 8D

rachel - Mmm – yes, I must remember that .PNG format.

As for the flea, I obtained that particular screencap from the Pixar Animation Studios short film, Your Friend the Rat. Near the very end of the theme song…

[spoil]…a magnifying glass zooms in on a little animated flea, which then turns into the real thing a second or two later.[/spoil]

It was a very brief moment in the short in question, but, surprisingly, it wasn’t that hard to capture.

Thanks again!

– Mitch

Mitch - thanks for that explanation. I was pretty sure that I didn’t see a flea in Ratatouille (unless it was on Emile’s or Django’s fur - heheh). I really can’t wait to see Your Friend the Rat now!

Actually, after the magnifying glass part is done, [spoil]you can see another flea coming into the scene, and Emile squahes it while he’s singing.[/spoil] 8D

Edited. Please don’t spoil the short for anyone. Thank you. – Mitch

rachel - My pleasure, rachel. And, yep, I’m sure you’ll love the short.

– Mitch

Yeah, I’m sure I will, too, Mitch. I’m itching to watch Ratatouille again, as well. But Christmas is soon, so that’ll take my mind off of it.

But enough about me… Are you thinking about making any more graphics? Or is that it for now?
