Mitch's Glitches

Mitch - Totally welcome! No, that phrase is pretty funny, so don’t stress. I like how it breaks the fourth wall, too. =) Oooh, I can’t wait for more graphics from you and your sister - you both always come up with some pretty hilarious stuff. Feel free to make a signature with another Up pun, too. There’s no such thing as too many Up puns. Heh.

Yeah, I thought that colour looked a bit intense, which is why I asked. Makes for a good effect anyway. =)

I like that new Up sig, Mitch! Nice pun! And your new Ratatouille sig is cool too- it’s something you can really imagine happening during the ‘filming’ of Ratatouille.

The Star Swordsman - All right. I’ll make some “Incredibles” signatures to make up for my lateness. I’m sorry I never did create any Violet and/or Tony graphics for you. I got so busy over the past couple of months.

Thank you, by the way!

Rachel - Mmm. The fourth wall? Gosh, I used to know what that phrase meant. I have an idea of its definition though…

In any case, thanks! My sister and I will get on it one of these moons – possibly tonight.

lizardgirl - Thanks!

– Mitch

The Star Swordsman - If you still want some “Incredibles” signatures, please feel free to let me know. I take it that you’ve probably finished your music video already, and I’m terribly sorry that I never created those graphics for you, but if you’d still like a batch then I’d be happy to produce some for you.

WALL•E:

If you can pick out the sci-fi references, then you’re officially a geek!

Note: I apologize for the relatively large (or small) size of that last graphic. I was having some problems with Photoshop, so depending on whether or not you have a PC, it may look too large.

– Mitch

I really like them Mitch. I have no idea what they are references from, but pretty nice job.

And yes, I would like to see some TI stuff from you if you have the time.

All of those signatures are out of this world, Mitch!

The first one (the one you are wearing) made me snicker so much, since WALL•E’s all crushed there, and, oh, just that caption and the fact that it’s said twice is so wrong yet so right. 8D What does the “Docking Bay 94” caption refer to?

Make more WALL•E graphics, please!

For all of those who are wondering:

  • The first caption in the first graphic is a reference to the film Aliens.
  • The second caption in the second graphic is a reference to the film Star Wars, Episode IV: A New Hope. Docking Bay 94 is the platform that Han Solo’s ship, the Millenium Falcon, was stationed at on Tatooine. (Shoot me if I spelled “Tatooine” incorrectly.)

Geeks unite!

The Star Swordsman - Thanks! I’ll make some “Incredibles” graphics for you, as requested.

Rachel - Gee, thank you very much! I’m glad that you like 'em.

Most definitely!

– Mitch

I can’t wait.

The last one literally made me LOL. The look on EVE’s face! I love it. Nice work, Mitch.

haha Mitch… they look normal-sized and maybe a bit small on my 27" screen!!!

lizardgirl - I’m glad you like the taste of me and my sister’s humor! We’re so crazy, it’s not even funny. You should see what we’re like when we quote the movie. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks, dude!

red - You know, it’s kind of weird the way those images came out. I had to make them extra small, because they look huge otherwise on my family’s PC screen; however, they look a tad bit too small on my dad’s MacIntosh. It’s either one or the other!

– Mitch

Ah, so that’s where those references in your graphics are from. I really need to watch both Alien and Aliens sometime. I heard they’re both sci-fi classics. Looking forward to further WALL•E graphics of yours, Mitch! =D

I haven’t seen Alien, but I saw the “Game Over” clip on YT, and it’s freakin’ funny how the guy delivers that line.

whimpers “It’s game over, man, it’s game over!”

Laugh out loud!
Here’s the video (minors or uptight people might want to watch out for a vulgarity he utters soon after)
The knowledge of that scene and the way how you matched it with such a grim picture of Wall-E’s ‘epic fail’ made me chuckle, Mitch (I know it’s so wrong… :stuck_out_tongue:)! Reminded me of Buzz’s video-game ‘demise’ in the Toy Story 2 opening. The first sig is my definite fave!

Although I’ve watched all the Star Wars films, it’s been ages and I’m not much of a fan, so I didn’t catch the Docking Bay 94 reference (I had too google it!). But smart in-joke nonetheless!

The third is quite sweet and poignant. Was that a quote from anywhere or was it a self-made tagline?

And the fourth was funny! Was that from a deleted scene?

Rachel - Thanks, dude!

Yes, you must see them. But whatever you do, don’t watch either of them at night. I made that mistake… twice. :stuck_out_tongue:

thedriveintheatre - I swear, that guy is hilarious. I watched the movie several times just for him. (snigger)

As far as the “Docking Bay 94” in-joke is concerned: Yeah, I never really payed any attention to it myself until I got older. Thanks, though!

The quote in the third signature is one that I thought up on the spur of the moment, although I don’t think I can say that it’s entirely original since I could have sworn that I’ve heard it uttered in some other film before. Huh. I’ll have to get back to you on that one of these days…

Yep! The fourth screen shot was from a deleted scene that can be located on the first disc of the two-/three-disc WALL•E DVD (or Blu-Ray) set. I believe that the name of the clip is called “Docking”.

Thanks for the comments, dude!

– Mitch

They’re all pretty good. My favorite would be the last one. EVE’s expression there is priceless.

lol i like your captions Mitch! Im hoping to post some of my work soon. :stuck_out_tongue:

bright dot-dasher and CMB - Thank you very much!

The Star Swordsman - Your “Incredibles” graphics are next!

Yikes. It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Well, I’m not dead, although the graphics that I do have to offer this time around only center on two films. I’m sorry that I don’t have more available at the moment, but I’ll cook up some extra batches eventually.

  • Up -

  • Dug Avatar -

  • Toy Story 2 -

They’re all right. They could be worse, I suppose…

Heh. Poor nightwheel has been waiting for that “Pizza Planet Truck” graphic for a long time. (I’m sorry it took so long, nightwheel!)

– Mitch

Absolutely beautiful, Mitch. Your style is so bright and original, and I especially like the burned-in edges of the first Up sig. I have to say, the first one with Russell is probably my favorite, and the way Dug looks up at the camera in the avvie is so cute! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

Love" /> To be honest, I haven’t watched the new trailer yet, and I probably should… I’ve been so lost with everyone’s new avvies and siggys…

I just got this random urge to ask you something. Do you think you would be interested in designing a few random siggys and avvies for me? I’m not a picky person, but I’d prefer stuff with Remy and Alfredo (or each alone), WALL•E and EVE (same deal), or M-O. I know you’re generally busy, and I’m not going to pressure you about it or anything. I just love the way you do your graphics work in Photoshop, and I was thinking about how awesome it would be for me to “own” some of this work!

Anything you want to do is fine by me. Even surprise me with a random Pixar movie or something. I love surprises! If it’s too much to ask, simply let me know, k?

Keep up the work - I’m always excited to see your new stuff, and I love your sense of humor. (Gee, wonder why…?)

little chef

red - Ha-ha! Gee whiz, I’m flattered! Thank you very much for your kind comments, dude. I really appreciate them.

You haven’t watched the trailer yet?!? That’s gonna have to change. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, gosh, you’ve answered my prayers. I always have a difficult time brainstorming ideas whenever I’m not with my sister (and she’s been busy with school lately), so now that you’ve given me a set base to tread upon I know what to concoct next. Expect a new batch momentarily!

I swear, I’m still befuddled by this connection between our personalities, and I don’t think that it was any mere coincidence that we met on Pixar Planet, of all places.

– Mitch

Adorable Up graphics there! I really like the one where Russell goes like “Cookies, sir?” I love your sense of humor. It fits the shot nicely.
