Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid are also being rereleased in 3D. Monsters, Inc. 3D is also released in the run up to Monsters University.
What do you think of the 3D releases?
Do you think Lilo and Stitch could be rereleased in 3D?
I read about this yesterday. Seems like Disney is confident to do re releases since The Lion King went over well. Don’t know if Lilo and Stitch is a good choice but I would go see it since it was a great film. I said the same thing about Hunchback but I would very suprised if it got a re release. Probably a Blu-Ray release would work for both films at this point.
This is great.
Finding Nemo specially should look awesome, as the film uses depth of field quite expertly.
As for Monsters, Inc., the door ride scene should look even more jaw dropping than it already is.
While I’m happy to see Pixar movies getting rereleased for a new audience, why are they skipping over A Bug’s Life? It’s an underappreciated film that could use the publicity a lot more than Finding Nemo right now.
I suppose it eventually will get the treatment. I really hope so, as I enjoy it a lot.
Anyway, Ratatouille was also announce months ago, but it wasn’t mentioned in today’s announcement. I suppose it will be released later.
I’m kind of thinking that Disney/Pixar are going to do a re release each once a year. Expect there to be a re release for Aladdin in possibly 2014 or so.
I guess if these follow in the success of the lion king 3d , disney will release even more films in 3D (and make lots more money)
I would go and see lilo and stitch if it was rereleased in 3D, next year is its 10th anniversary.
I’m suprised cars wasnt rereleased in 3d before cars 2, because toy story and toy story 2 were released in 3d just before toy story 3 came out,and the same is happening with monsters inc/monsters university.
Yes, I also wanted Cars 3D to be released before Cars 2.
I was expecting a re release for Cars before Cars 2 came out but I was suprised that there wasn’t one.
Oh wow, my favourite Disney film (not including PIXAR)'s 10th anniversary is next year!
