What else do you think will be good besides Brave?
The Pirates! Band of Misfits and Wreck-It Ralph all look pretty interesting. Other then that and Brave, nothing really.
Wow, Brave is slaughtering this poll!
Honestly, In my opinion, I think that Wreck-It-Ralph is gonna make more money than Brave.
How so?
Just because it has to do with video games.
I don’t care too much about box office.
At this point, I’m more worried about reception.
I’ll probably still has some faith in Pixar if Brave doesn’t go over too well.
Me too, but it still would be a heavy blow for them.
Exactly. Seeing as much as it’s getting hyped here. It would sort of be like mid-Disney Renaissance again where the studio starts to go downhill.
YOU ARE A PIRATE!
(hey where’s Gendy Tartakovsky’s Hotel Translyvania?)
Yeah I just went with Aardman’s Pirates. It looks good from the trailers. Has humour, good animation, likability & fun.
2012 is an interesting year for animated films; Ice Age & Madagascar sequels, Guardians, (critiscied)Lorax, Ghibli’s arriety, Gendy’s Hotel Translyvania, Brave (Redemption or not?), Video game parody Wreck-It-Ralph (hey, will parodying Minecraft get it really popular?) and Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie stop-motion remake. If only I could be able to see multiple movies at the cinema in a year!
I am most looking forward to Pirates and Hotel Transylvaniza. I’m very curious about the Oz movie and Rise of the Guardians, since I know almost nothing about them.
I’m not hyped about Brave. The trailer was terrible. I have no plans to see Madagascar or Ice Age.
This seems like another “meh” year.
I thought Brave’s trailer wasn’t anything to ride home about. I thought it was just average. The main problem was that it focused a little too much on the jokes, while trying to get the story across to the audiance. I’m hoping the next trailer is better and a little more consistant with the story.
Ghibli’s Arriety? Gendy’s Hotel Translyvania, Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie and Rise of the Guardians?
I think most Pixar trailers are hit and miss though, tbh. Never judge a film by it’s trailer
I wouldn’t say the Brave trailer was terrible either. Like definedancing, I think it’s on the same level as most Pixar trailers.
I remember thinking the trailer to The Incredibles was really dull, so, y’know.
One trailer that does look really cool though is The Hobbit
I agree.
Sadly, this board is just about animated films, because except for Brave, all the films that I’m anticipating this year are live-action.
Hmm. It’s a shame, but i’m still feeling optimistic
I’m not trying to say that the trailer was horrible. It was just that it focused too much on the humor which was kind of distracting in a way to get the story across to the viewers. I have a feeling though that the jokes in the trailers will work in the film itself so I’m not too worried.
