You love that sentence, don’t you?
But yeah, most trailers for this kind of films focus on humor, so I’m not worried for THAT. But there are other things that I might dislike.

Yep. You’ve seen quite a trend of me using that sentence right?
Anyway, I think the story so far seems kind of unoriginal. I mean, how many times have we’ve seen someone wanting to rebel against their parent’s desires. Unless they pull off some sort of plot twist, I’m not really digging it.
Well, you’ll hardly find the plot twists and originality factors of the story in any trailer, would you? That would be a spoiler, not a promo.
The truth is that not even the actual plot of the film has been completely disclosed at this point, so I think we’re judging ahead a lot.
Your right. But I trust Pixar in doing the story for the film since their stories for their prevoius films have been written geniously. Of course with the exception of Cars 2.
Theres no such thing as an original story anymore. A formulaic story can be very good with a few tweaks and strong characters. Just look at the Toy Story series-essentially the same thing happens in each film, and yet they’re universally loved. Why? Because they’re well written tales with compelling characters in dangerous situations. Or a film like Kung Fu Panda and How To Train Your Dragon-formulaic stories with plot twists that elevate it so much more as a film.
That was the other point I wanted to make.
There’s only about twenty categories of themes, and that hasn’t practically changed since classic literature. The theme of rebellion is one of them.
What you can do is combine them. And we still don’t know which other themes will they use in Brave.
The Animated Film I’m most anticipating this year is Brave.
I’m also looking forward to an animated film called The Suicide Shop. Doesn’t sound like a kids title though so it probably will only get limited release.
I never heard of that project. Do you know when it’ll be released?
For some reason that reminds me of Suicide Mouse
It’s a Belgium film based on a book by Jean Teule. It has a release date of 16th May in Belgium and France but I have no idea about US and UK dates. Nonetheless, it sure does sound interesting.

Looks pretty intersting. The animation reminds me of a hand drawn film done by Tim Burton.
I kind of really like the rough edge style of it. I’ve been meaning to check out the book, only its in French .
It looks very interesting.
Still going with Brave as my most looked forward to film for this year.
Same here^^.
The only thing I’m worried about Brave is how Brenda Chapman was kicked off the project. Her replacement is talented, but I just hope his style doesn’t clash with hers.
That’s true^^. For some reason I get the feeling that Mark Andrews is going to make it have more comedy, but I hope not.
How would mike and matt chapman kick off the project?
Well, I don’t know. The only film Chapman has directed had its goofy moments too.
