I saw Transformes: Revenge of the Fallen.
It was, alright. I just wish they kept both Optimus AND Sam dead. Actually, kill Sam, I want Optimus alive! Some parts were lame, some parts were AWESOME! So I give it a: 8/10
woah, major spoilers there…
Not really. You didn’t really expect Bay to have Sam or Optimus dead in such a shallow movie, did you? Unless you… actually like the movie, of course… shudders

Sorry, woody.
TAMATER: Dragonball Evolution is better than Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen? I haven’t seen Dragonball yet, but seriously? The trailer made it look like an amateur high-school film project compared to TF’s jaw-dropping special effects. The plots can’t be compared, anyway, they’re both crappy, I must admit.
annaborjack: I would advise you to spoiler tag those sentences, for the benefit of any TF fans who haven’t watched the sequel yet. But I must agree, it would be much more interesting if [spoil]Shia perished and Optimus lived.[/spoil] Optimus is way too awesome for petty things like [spoil]dying[/spoil]!
Here’s my review if anyone’s interested to hear what I think of it. But if I were to sum it up in a single quote, it would be this:
Oh, and I gave it 3.5/5 stars, by the way. Above average.
I think I’ll be watching X-Men Origins: Wolverine next, followed by Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Do you find a lot of movies nowadays have colons in their titles?
Because he’s Mr. Freeze and you’re cold, right?
I find that movies with colons in the titles are just hiding something.
I’d agree about the expectations for TF2 except that I enjoyed the first one for what it was and thought the second one wasn’t able to even deliver stupid action worth any enjoyment.
Edited by Bill: Please don’t use profanity.
Thanks for linking to my new review of the movie, thedriveintheatre, but I already have a link of that in my sig.
Far from it, actually; it’s the brain freeze of his lines… and those nipples.

Yeah, I think it’s because yours was the last post of the thread. Anyway peeps, mine’s a few posts above his.
Ba-da-boom! Where’d you get the smiley?
Watched Taken. Good action film! Car chases and fights were awesome. Althought I had a huge problem with two things. One, why is it that everytime Liam touches somebody in a fight, they immediately fall down unconscious/dead? =P Two, what the heck is up with the ending? [spoil]Oh daddy! Ur so awesum, u killed like fifty ppl just to find me!? And shum singing lessons? Kewl! kthxbai.[/spoil] Really, WTH?
Yeah. I’ve wrote about that in my partially (more like barely) done Terminator 2 review. Here’s the quote:

Why does everyone HATE Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen? I like it!
Join the club, annarborjack.
TDIT: Yup. I grew up on Dragonball, even though that was an awful movie.
I’d also like to add Street Fighter to the list. No offense, TSS.
I just saw Garfield Gets Real, and Garfield’s Fun Fest. They’re really only good though if you’re a Garfield fan. They are well written though by Jim Davis.
TAMATER: Non taken, my friend.
Yeah, I just rember you said you liked it a lot on this thread.
I did enjoy the movie, despite everyone else’s reviews. But that’s totally cool.
It’s actually perfectly fine for people to like movies with shallow storylines and no brains (though in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’s case, it really bored me with its misplacement of action sequences… not that you’d agree anyway ). I mean, I love Power Rangers: The Movie even though it made little sense. It was entertaining to me, that’s why I like it. If Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was any more entertaining than the first one (which I totally love for its action), sign me up for the club.
Oh, one more thing I forgot to add. The reason I hate the movie is because it’s one of the many ‘bad’ movies that are convincing Hollywood of making more copies like it! If you guys like Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Hollywood doesn’t appeal you by stop making good movies and start making more that hurts my brain, that’s fine and dandy. But that isn’t the case, is it?!

Hmmm… I’ve seen a fair few movies over the past few days? Weeks?
I’ll start with Rosemary’s Baby which is just a superb horror movie in my view. The final ten minutes really disturb me for some reason, probably due to when I saw it as a child late one night with the family.
I also watched Edward Scissorhands recently, too. And it really is a lovely film that I can’t really fault in any way at all (I’m keeping these brief because I’m tired).
Next on my list from today was Public Enemies, which is fine for one viewing. But something about it didn’t really sit right with me. It seemed as though with every avenue they could have ventured into on the film in terms of story, etc. They decided to choose the most predictable and dull choice.
Personally, rather than watching a romance between John Dillinger and his girlfriend, I would have much preferred to see the movie explore his relationship and popularity with the public. Still, if you like tommy guns going off, then you may very well enjoy the movie.
Then I came home and had a late night viewing of The Goonies, which was just great fun all the way through.
I would have to agree with that whole quote. When I saw that movie, I was begging for it to be over. I’m not sure what it was, but I had a hard time staying interested. But the action sequences were pretty cool.
