Movies - both new and old

^ Yes.

Borat: I can not get enough of this movie! My friend has never seen it, so we watched it last night. Hilariously offensive. My favorite scene is in the Civil War Antique Store.

Just re-watched The Shawshank Redemption. Oh my, that movie is awesome. In my opinion, one of the best movies of all time.

I agree. I love those, both Shawshank and The Green Mile, it’s spiritual successor (another jail themed movie written by King and directed by Darabont)

It’s a pity not everyone has seen them.

I just watched one of my favorite movies as a kid, Jumanji. It’s a funny, exciting, adventure packed movie.

Oh, I somewhat enjoyed it.

Kirsten Dunst looked exactly the same.

Jumanji is funny, but it’s not a great movie. I rank it close to the Spongebob Movie(not too good).

The Open Road: B: This movie was pretty good. I was expecting a comedy, but I’d take a drama over it any day. It was nice to see something more realistic and serious in the middle of my inner Disney explosion, and Jeff Bridges was awfully good at a horrid southern accent. :shake:

I just saw the movie The Hangover for the first time today. Hands down one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe I waited this long to watch it.

I watch The Road and I’ve never been more depressed after watching a movie. Atmosphere is something that effects me big time when it comes to movies, and even some tv shows. That’s why I find the original Twilight Zone more scary than anything considered a scary movie today. But anyway, the atmosphere was so bleek and was unrelenting. Mission accomplished for the people who wanted set out to create a bleek post apocalyptic world. If the movie had a little more color, I wouldn’t have been so depressed after watching it. I love these kind of movies, and enjoyed this one, but never has one depressed me like this one, and I won’t be watching it again anytime soon. I was depressed for a whole day.

Hahah, heck yes! It’s defintely in my top 5 funniest movies. Glad you saw it.

“I didn’t know they gave out rings at the Holocaust”

I don’t understand how people find The Hangover so funny. I was entertained while I watched it, and I plan on seeing the sequel, but it wasn’t laugh out loud funny to me.

Everyone has different types of humour. Your cup of tea may be a cup of vinegar to another, and visa versa. Glad to hear that you still liked it!

Same here. I also thought it was one of the best comedies of its type.

But dirty jokes simply aren’t my cup of tea.

yeah, you´ve waited this long, but definitely you use to have a great taste in films, that´s awesome

I still think The Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of Disney’s best films. I don’t get why it’s not very embraced by people.

Maybe because it is very different from the general tone and style of Disney movies, being less whimsical and happy. So it has less wide appeal with Disney fans. But I still personally consider it excellent.

Exactly. Those same very reasons are the ones that put the movie so high for me.

I agree. I mean, in my experience, I’m the biggest Disney fan at my school or church. And I love the Hunchback a LOT. I really hate the public and its view of movies. :unamused: But I still think it’s undeniably one of the best, whether they like it or not.

Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides. I had a fun time watching this movie! It wasn’t my favorite Pirates movie ,but this movie was entertaining and lovly to watch. I defintely reccomend it.

Thanks for the review EJE! I’m going to try to watch it sometime this weekend.
