Movies - both new and old

I love Puss in Boots.

I enjoyed it too, but I don’t think it was as good as recent Dreamworks efforts, so I got disappointed.

I want to watch Puss In Boots.

So a PP member on Facebook said there may be a another Spongebob movie. What do you guys think you didn’t see that.

Meh. I have no love for that franchise, and I find it criminally overrated.

I really hope they don’t make it. It would surely be a disaster, as the show is at the moment.

I liked the show a lot as a kid and still find some episodes rather funny, but I looked at it more closely and it’s mostly the second season I find funny… The rest I could stand without. I saw the movie in theaters but I thought it was awful. I can only imagine things would get worse.

I hate the first movie, and all seasons after 4. So I would never want to see that movie.

I said on Facebook that it would be a good idea to end the series after the movie. As kids, we learned that cartoons like Rocko’s Moden Life and Hey arnold woulden’t last forever. They ended. I was disapointed when Rugrats ended but now I’m happy they did because I look at the newer episodes and there not that good. These kids today gotta learn Spongebob won’t be here forever.

Yeah they should.

I’m surprised the show hasen’t got a spinoff yet. You think Nick would make one.

Yeah, one focusing on Gary’s life or something like that I would’ve imaginged^^.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm: Don’t mock me. This movie was a lot better than any of the 80’s-90’s live action Batman movies. Really, I thought it was incredible. One of the most mature pieces of animation I’ve ever seen(and, very few dirty jokes!! The few there weren’t bad at all). This had a great score, great voice acting, script, and a really clever plot IMO. I love it, and I’m glad I bought it. I didn’t even figure it out until the end, which I really admire. Usually I can figure it out without even trying in movies. 8D

Batman and Mr. Freeze: Subzero: Well, of course, this was less incredible. I’d say this is more like a B-. But I enjoyed it, and it’s entertaining enough. It just didn’t blow my mind.

Batman: Under the Red Hood: This movie was very entertaining. Not really amazing, but I really loved it and I liked the characters. Sadly, though, I did figure this one out pretty fast. However, the Joker’s voice really bothered me. Too deep, though he did get the laugh right.

Schindler’s List: I am so glad I finally got to see this. This has to be one of the best movies ever, and definitely one of my favorite of Speilberg’s. I couldn’t sleep after watching it; I was up thinking all night. This is why I love movies.

I think i saw the Mr. Freeze Batman movie. I also saw one where Batman meet Superman when I was little. My little brother was a big fan of Batman and Superman when he was little.

The animated Joker should always be Mark Hamill. He defined the character’s voice and laugh.

A department store in town has a 2 for one sale on every Disney and Pixar DVD/Blu-Ray avaliable, so I’ve been stocking up on (and watching!) some of the ones missing from my collection. Some ones I’ve watched in the past week or so:

Mulan. Oh, how I love this movie! Mulan would definitely be one of my favourite Disney ‘princesses’. The scene at the end where the entire city bows down to her has always given me the shivers, and it has two of my favourite Disney songs in it (I’ll Make a Man Out of You and Reflection).

Beauty and the Beast. The last time I watched this film I would have been about 5 or 6, so I really didn’t remember the plot very well until I re-watched it. Belle is definitely my favourite female Disney character - I tend to get lost in a good book just like she does. 8D

Lilo and Stitch. I forgot how fun this movie is! While it’s not as memorable and didn’t make as much of an impact as some of Disney’s other films, it’s a really fun movie to watch. Really.
I love the juxtaposition of the coldness of space and the warmth of the Hawaiian island. When I was younger and watched it I didn’t really grasp the ‘broken family’ side to the movie, but now I love the portray of Nani struggling to raise her sister after their parents’ death, it’s something that’s shown in rarely any childrens films these days.

Exactly my sympathies. Everybody else does it…wrong somewhow. His is too perfect for temp voices.

Sad that Mark retired from the voice of the Joker. No one will ever replace him.

Saw a couple movies while I was away…

Warrior: Great film. The story was put together well and Tom Hardy’s performance was excellent. Definitely recommend checking this out even if you aren’t into MMA.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas: Another good one. It’s about these two young boys who develop a friendship during the Holocaust era. It’s emotionally riveting, and suitable enough for all ages. The ending will definitely have you wondering ‘‘How could this happen.’’ I liked Vera Farmiga’s performance in this. Some parts in the movie I could barely even tell it was her. Goes to show how she is one of the better middle-aged actresses out there right now.

^The Boy in Striped Pajamas made me SOB. One of the few movies to do so. :`-(
