Movies - both new and old

I’ve been looking to watch “La Cicatrice Intérieure”, but it looks like it was only ever released on DVD in Japan. And I can’t really read Japanese subtitles. 8D And good portions of the movie are in German. I just want access to it in some way…

Edit: Whoa! Nevermind, I managed to find it on Youtube of all places

I watched Scarface again at my cousin’s house last night.

The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn: I loved it, I thought it was brilliant, my favorite animated film of last year and one of my favorite films of last year. 10/10.

That movie is quite good! I should see it again soon to catch any details I missed on my first viewing. I need to get around to reading the comics soon…

I’ve read some of the comics^^, but I plan on re-reading all the Tintin books.

I want to read some of their comics too^^.

I’ve read them all multiple times.

I loved all the references in the film.

Saw Clueless last night. A dorky movie, but entertainingly so, coming from someone not generally a fond of the teen highschool romance/breakup genre.

Is the movie Blast From the Past any good? The concept seems interesting.

Saw Avengers yesterday… awesome!! Even if you’re not a fan of Marvel, it’s a must-see. It’s easily one of the most entertaining and exciting movies of this year. Pretty much the perfect summer movie.

I just got back from it and thought it was excellent. Well scripted, well acted, and well directed. Certain scenes maybe lasted a little long, but I came away very impressed. It did take me a while to get into though. And the score was amazinggg

I saw Avengers on Sunday night, and yeah, it’s my new favorite movie! I have yet to talk to anyone who has said anything negative about it. Well, except for my older brother who thought it was the worst super hero movie in recent years and that it was “SLOW”. And then there’s this: http://cityarts.info/2012/05/02/pavlov’s-franchise/

I watched The Shawshank Redemption and I loved it! I loved how it wasn’t like other prison movies I’ve seen. I also loved the score. I loved it so much that I bought the soundtrack. It’s beautiful but I wish the tracks were in the order they were used in the movie. I also wish some of Morgan Freeman’s narration from the movie was added to the tracks.

The Hunter: It was okay, I found the story very predictible, but it still had some good scenes.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel I had a good time watching this movie. Everybody was great in it. It was funny and at times touching. I think I’m going to see it again. And Thomas Newman created another killer score! I bought it as soon as I got home and haven’t stopped playing it since.

Everybody keeps raving about the Avengers and I really want to see it. But there are so many small budget indie movies out or coming out that i know wont be aroumd long that i want to see so I don’t know when I’ll get around to seeing it. At least the Avengers will be around for months.

Has anyone ever seen The Wizard? It’s about this kid who takes his pro gamer brother and a girl to this video game tournament. It’s not much of a great movie but it’s fun to watch. It also marked the first ever appearence of Super Mario Bros 3 in the USA. It’s what my sig is based off of.

I loved this movie growing up. I still like it. But it was nothing but an advertisement for Nintendo products IMO. Wasn’t this movie the first time the Power Glove was introduced to the public?

Avengers was pretty fun and entertaining. Good job, Joss Whedon!

Last night I watched Mrs. Doubtfire, which is always a good watch. I forget what else… Oh, War Horse. I liked that more than I thought I would but the protagonist was surprisingly absent for most of the movie. I wasn’t even interested in the particular horse so much as its journey with different characters.

Which is why I think it’s debatable that he is in fact the protagonist.

A lot of people has stressed that fact negatively, but I think it’s the whole point of the film. It’s not so much about the horse as of the lives touched by the horse.

I enjoyed that film!

Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows: I think they used way too much CGI and Slow Motion Shots, it was okay, but I really was dissapointed that they focused so much on special effects.

Ahh, no, but you reminded me that I’ve been meaning to! Added to the bucket list.
