Seeing the Winter Soldier today!
Good film.
I just watched a picture which is referenced in The Winter Soldier, by the way: WarGames. Don’t get the praise…
Winter Soldier was good! Rather long, but satisfying as a superhero movie.
I recently saw Treasure Planet.
I saw The House of the Flying Daggers and loved it.
It’s weird I hadn’t seen it before, since I loved Hero, by that same director.
I recently, for the first time in about ten years, sat down and rewatched all of the Star Wars films (original trilogy first, then prequel trilogy). I gotta say… is it wrong that I actually like the prequels?? I think the originals are infinitely superior, but the prequels are decently entertaining. Although III is a little too dark… but regardless, I enjoyed them. I’d say C-3PO and Luke Skywalker are my favorite characters ![]()
Leirin: Whoa! You actually like Star Wars? So do I! My favorite characters are Luke, Leia, Obi-Wan, Han Solo, Chewbacca, 3PO, R2, and Yoda. I also like the Ewoks.
Star Wars is forever.
I just saw IV a few months ago. I thought it was pretty neat. I’m still somewhat curious about the other ones. ![]()
There’s a movie named after me?!?!
Leirin: the prequels are okay. Not as good as the originals, but not horrible. I still say the Hobbit is a worse prequel trilogy.
Saw After Earth today. I’d been wanting to see it for months, since I heard it was really bad.
After Earth, as most Shyamalan ventures, was boring and dumb.
I saw Maleficent, and I confess I was very pleasantly surprised!
IncredigirlVirginia - I found it hilariously stupid. It entertained me for all the wrong reasons, which was what I was hoping for when I rented it. (After Earth, not Maleficent)
Last weekend my mom and I got to see The Lego Movie over at the downtown Mansfield library.
Today I purchased both Help! and A Hard Day’s Night (The Criterion Collection) on Blu-ray. With Yellow Submarine, the Beatles portion of my collection is now complete. Looking forward to watching them.
I’m completely over Transformers now, no longer interested in it as I used to be when I was younger.
I’ve detested the film franchise since the second film. Now I don’t even care about the first.
I enjoyed the first when I was younger, but as I grew older, the more I realized it was 85% explosions, 10% story, 4% acting, 1% quality.
Wow! Did you just review the next Ninja Turtles movie? ![]()
If Michael Bay stuck with the original designs, it might have made the film less painful to watch. Some guy went into Photoshop and fixed Leonardo’s face:
Honestly, the 2012 Nickeleodeon version of TMNT does a lot more justice than what this Michael Bay garbage is gonna bring.
