Well, I was supposed to watch Legend but couldn’t find it so I watched 10 Things I Hate About You. Never realized how good and funny that film was- I still can’t believe Heath’s gone.
I also watched My Girl and Bridge to Terabithia- both great movies but very sad.
lizardgirl: If you’d like, I have a DVD ripper now and I can post it onto Youtube for you sometime.
I’m thinking about watching Heath’s movies now that he’s passed away (which I still can’t get over as of when I’m typing this) . The Brother’s Grimm, I’m Not There, Brokeback Mountain, and The Patriot all interest me. But still, the role I’ll remember him most for is The Joker in The Dark Knight , which I’ll most definitely be seeing when it comes out on July 18.
FONY- Well, only if it isn’t too much hassle for you! Though I really, really appreciate the thought. Thank you.
I saw Cloverfield a few nights ago, and loved it. I know the story is pretty pathetic, but the intensity of the entire makes up for it. I haven’t been so scared in the cinema for a long time.
I’ve rewatched Batman Begins today. I’m a big Batman movie freak of the new series (Batman Begins , The Dark Knight) , and I found it very enjoyable. Christian Bale is really great in his performace of Bruce Wayne/Batman.
The phrase “…the new series…” reminded me of something.
When I was a kid, I used to be a big fan of the “old” series (i.e., Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin). Although I still find these movies somewhat enjoyable today, I realized that the only reason that I became a big fan of them was that they had all these villains with rather fascinating “gimmicks”, if you will. In fact, I was so fascinated by the Riddler that I decided to make riddles out of letter pieces from newspapers and magazines (much like the Riddler did) and secretly distributed these riddles to some random classmates in my elementary school (after a week, they eventually figured out that I made those riddles, but I enjoyed it while it lasted ).
Now that I’ve seen Batman Begins, my perception of the above movies has changed quite a bit. Batman Begins (and hopefully The Dark Knight) not only has the “cool” villains, but it also involves superb character development and a fascinating story that the old Batman movie series was lacking. These are some of the reasons that I gave Batman Begins a spot in my list of favourite movies.
I saw Disneys, The Game Plan last Friday. I was soo cool and funny.
Also last Friday, I saw the movie Most. It’s one of thoses movie that make you look at things difrent. Heres more about the movie: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Most_%28film%29
So, how come nobody has mentioned the first trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull yet ? Weren’t you aware it was released today ?
Archibald - YEAH, man!! Best trailer in the entire universe and the world combined. Nearly wet my pants when I saw that trailer this morning, I did. Mr. Ford has still got it! I can’t wait for this film, dude…
FONY: After seeing the trailer, I was like, “okay, I have gotta see this movie some time soon.” I never read the books, so do you think I might get a little confused?
TSS: At some moments you might, but the rest of my family didn’t read the books and they enjoyed it more than I did, and they really didn’t have any questions so I think everything was explained well.
Ooh, I was forced to watch To Kill A Mockingbird in class after we read the book- I rather enjoyed it. I think there are several versions of that, if I’m not mistaken …
I just recently watched a bit of Merlin- couldn’t sit through the whole 3 hours though. I love it but I live for the Queen Mab / Miranda Richardson scenes, not the jibber jabber between all those different kings and whatnot.
I saw the movies Vantage Point and Spiderwick Chronicles. I fond both were enjoyable movies. I personally loved the story and idea of Spiderwick more than Vantage. BUt I think the acting was better in Vantage than SPiderwick.
