Movies - both new and old

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is in my local theatre. Yay! Now all I need is a day to see it …

I also want to see The Tale of Despereaux. It just looks so cute! x)

I just watched Journey to the Center of the Earth. Twice. With 3-D glasses, it was stupid because the glasses itched my ears, and the 3-D was really nothing … but it’s a great movie, not too long and not too short.

I also saw Balloon Farmshudder Stay away, stay far away! xD It was … bleh. That’s all I can say. It was funny to see Neal McDonough in it though.

The worst movie I ever saw was called Stay Alive and its about a new video game and if you play it and die in the game, you die in real life the same way you died in the game. I hated it so much and was really dissapointed because the commercial looked really good.

I just watched Labyrinth, which is and will always be love … and Dan in Real Life. I never realized how much I hate the family in that film until I watched it a second time.

Just saw:
Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium
(wonderful, one of the best imaginative movies I’ve ever seen)
and
The Polar Express
(cool movie, except that we don’t even hear the main character’s name throughout the movie)

I watched Bug, and then The Happening. The latter was pretty funny. [spoil]Really awakard during that silent part when she’s in the bathroom at the end.[/spoil]

I need to watch that again, it’s cute. :3 And Dustin Hoffman rules. :sunglasses:

I forgot to mention that I also saw Spy Kids 2. My brother and I both agreed that the films aren’t as bad as we thought they were … they were actually pretty enjoyable. But I think I’ll steer clear of the third.

My sister and I recently saw Wild Hogs on tv… again. I’d always wanted to see it from the first time I saw the trailers, so I’m glad that I got the chance to. I was laughing my butt off, man…

Actually, the third installment has a pretty funny part in it with Elijah Wood. It only lasts about five minutes, but it’s hilarious. The rest of the film stinks. :stuck_out_tongue:

You are absolutely right, sir! :unamused:

I watched Steven Colbert’s The Greatest Gift of All and it is hillarious! Mr. Colbert has totally out done himself!

I loved it as well! He’s always hilarious!

Another really awsome movie is called Idiocracy. It’s really funny if you ever get a chance to see it, but it’s rated R so… hope you can see it. I highly recomend it.

That movie is good!

Has anyone seen Lars and the Real Girl? That is an excellent movie. I also recently saw Four Christmases in theaters. It was alright, but definitely not as funny as Christmas Vacation.

I loved Four Chrismases, but your right, it wasn’t as good as Christmas Vacation, which is a Christmas tradition at my house.

I watched Schindler’s List like a week ago. Don’t know what to say other than it’s my new favorite movie. Sorry, to Pixar and WALL-E, but it was just that good.

Totally sweet movie! Good one for your #1 spot, FounderofAzn!

Lars and the Real Girl was one of the five best films of 2007, and one of my all-time favorites!!! If anyone looks it up on imdb, don’t be thrown off by the plot! Please, please don’t!!!

Because of the wealth of fine films in 2008, I have updated my all-time top 20:

Forrest Gump
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
You Can’t Take it With You
Singin’ in the Rain
There Will Be Blood
Napoleon Dynamite
Young Frankenstien
The Dark Knight
WALL-E
Abe Lincoln in Illinois
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Lars and the Real Girl
Son of Rambow
Persepolis
I, Robot
Toy Story
An American in Paris
The Birds
The Blair Witch Project

So, four new additions so far this year. Can you find which four they are?

Can’t wait to see what I’ll like most on Dec. 25th this year!!!

I saw The Day The Earth Stood Still last night. It’s a very rare occassion where I’m able to watch a film and am unable to find a single positive thing about it, but this is the case with The Day The Earth Stood Still. Waste of money.

WOAH! Thanks 4 the warning! :open_mouth:
