Mr. Peabody and Sherman

Mr. Peabody (voiced by Ty Burrell, Emmy Award® Winner -Modern Family) is a business titan, inventor, scientist, Nobel Laureate, gourmand, two-time Olympic medalist, and genius…who also happens to be a dog. Using his most ingenious invention, the WABAC machine, Mr. Peabody and his adopted boy Sherman (Max Charles -The Amazing Spider-Man) hurtle back in time to experience world-changing events first-hand and interact with some of the greatest characters of all time. But when Sherman breaks the rules of time travel, our two heroes find themselves in a race to repair history and save the future, while Mr. Peabody may face his biggest challenge yet – being a parent.

I actually think this looks pretty promising. The animation style, the way the characters are modeled, and the vibrant color palette make it actually resemble its source cartoon and none of the gags felt too over-the-top or gross or anything. I’m looking forward to it!

Mildly off-topic, but why haven’t we heard anything about Me and My Shadow recently? I thought that was DW’s next movie…

Dreamworks removed that one off their slate after Rise of the Guardians underperformed at the box-office, which lead to those layoffs.

I want to see this!
I grew up watching these two on the Rocky and Bullwinkle show. One down side is Sherman’s voice but it’s so minor that I don’t care. Besides, Patrick Warburton is in this! That makes up for Sherman’s voice not being close to the original!

Yeah, I thought the same thing about his voice. At least it’s not ill-fitting.

@Ballboi: Wait, seriously?! As in, the entire film’s been cancelled?! That severely disappoints me…

I actually am looking forward to this film. It looks nice and bubbly, and I’m a sucker for anything history related.
