Music from SgtYayap Productions

I really like your HTTYD treatment, SgtYayap! A couple of constructive criticisms: it wouldā€™ve been better if you introduced a ā€˜joltā€™ sound effect when Hiccup first sees Toothless much like how John Powell did it. Also, the piece didnā€™t quite ā€˜climaxā€™ when Hiccup was about to stab Toothless. I was expecting a rising crescendo or at least the strings to quiver or something, but nope, it still remained ā€˜ambientā€™. Missed opportunity.

Other than that, I really love how you tried to make the ending very scary with the disturbing chords as Toothless pins Hiccup to the rock. And the middle bits were pretty good too.

Just a word of advice; try to comment on other peopleā€™s work here and participate in the discussions instead of only posting updates to your music work and fanfiction (although I do see you from time to time on the Monsters Inc forum). Perhaps people will start to take notice of you and then pay attention to your work when you comment on theirs!

Anyway, keep up the good work!

I also compose music. But I more do custom soundtrack production.
Here are the examples I use to show how well I compose music.

Sorry it took a while to get to these; alas, been pretty busy.

Itā€™s alright that you give criticisms TDIT. I really do want to try my best, and input will only help make it better. Iā€™ll certainly consider reviewing others, but Iā€™m not certain Iā€™d have the time, proven by how long it took me just to respond to my own thread.

Iā€™m going to ignore the bragging and have a look when I can, S 330.

No worries, SgtYayap! Iā€™ll just reiterate that comments are free (the only cost, as you said, is time), and seeing as much of fandom works are entirely voluntary and non-profit in nature, a kind comment or critique is worth its weight in gold. I hope you find my input just as valuable and rewarding! Keep up the good work.

Again, thank you.

In the meantime, I did some pieces, most notably this:

I noticed this whole FORUM died, so it may as well be me who revives it.

Did a very brief melody using a sound I programmed with demo-licensed software.

Did this. I feel this is my most successful one, as it not only is original, it also expresses the emotional distress I felt at the time I made it.

More original music. I feel this one is very lofty.

Hello? Is anyone noticing MY music? :frowning: I donā€™t want to have to abandon one of the only threads that keeps me here regularly, but it seems Iā€™m talking to a wall, unlike for S 330.

Well, Iā€™m uploading this, anyway:

Inspired in part bt the TRON soundtrack!

I noticethat a lot whenever I post something up abou my music. Iā€™m the only one who answers except a few other people.

Ah. Well, I appreciate your reassurance that Iā€™m not the only one.

A recreation of one of the main themes from the first Terminator movie!

Cool!
What software did you get?

Itā€™s called the Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V. Itā€™s based off of an '80s synth called, well, the PPG Wave. XD

Hhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

This, apparently, is quite popular among my friends, so I may as well share this cover of Owl City.

Oh no not that song.

Pretty good.
