A few weeks ago, we found a lump on my dearest cat, Tiger. We paid a visit to the vet
where they took a sample from her. The vet called us this morning and informed us that she indeed has cancer.
I’ve been crying since then.
Surgery might extend her life by a year…if
she’s able to undergo it. We still have to have blood work done on her.
I’ve had Tiger since 1993, but
I’m afraid this will be her last Christmas with me.
She’s been one of the most important things
in my life. Losing her will be tough as heck.

Sorry to hear
that.
We have a 17 or 18 years old cat.
I’m really
sorry to hear that. I hope that you and Tiger have a very great christmas together this year.

Dear PixarVixen,
Losing a dear member of your family is probably one of the
hardest consequences to face in one’s life – even if that special being is your pet. I, myself, realized this
after experiencing what it is like to lose nine members of my family, all of them rats. And as simple as an
animal they were, it was ever so hard to see them go.
I am truely sorry to hear the news, PixarVixen. I
love cats myself – they are my favorite creature in the animal kingdom, so I can relate to you there. I
sincerely wish her and you a wonderful Christmas together, even if it may be your last.
The one comfort I
can give you is this: You love her, and she loves you. You gave your heart and soul into spending your precious
time for your sweet little kitty, and love is the best thing you can give to a person or animal. Even if your
Tiger only has another year left to live, she will have spent a good and enjoyable life with you.
Quite a
way to spend with God’s precious creatures: If you love them, they’ll love you back.
Many hugs,
Oh
PV, I am so sorry to hear that. You must be very devestated. She must be a really important cat to you. I’ll be
praying for you and your cat.

It’s been a weird year/month for people losing pets
and actually just pets in general. I can’t get used to Pyewacket being gone but I doubt it will really sink in
until I go home this weekend and she’s not there. Best wishes for Tiger hun. =)
Reminds me of when my old cat, also named Tiger, had to be put down several years ago after developing diabetes.
Was a shame too, I really miss him for his old habit of dragging beanie babies from the basement like animal
kills and apparently making some sort of victory screech(according to mom on that last part)
Thank you for the support,
everybody.
Mitch, you made me a little teary-eyed, but don’t worry. They were happy tears.

I’m really, really sorry to hear that, PV. Pets can end up becoming a member of the family, so loosing one will
be tough, but as Mitch said, you have given her so much of your love, and she has returned it, that even though
this might be your last Christmas together, you’ll enjoy it.
PixarVixen : It seems you and I both have tradgedy in our family . My mom’s in the hospital
for a collapsed lung . She’s been there for 2 weeks . She’ll be okay though , just some surgery , and it’s not
as bad as having your cat have cancer . I’ve had a few pets die ( after all having at the moment 22 snakes and
alot more pets with that ) but they weren’t that close to me . I’m very afraid to see my closet pet , sage , an
english bulldog at the age of 11 , die , although i know it will be soon . So your kitty’s in my prayers ( even
though i don’t pray alot , not really my thing ) and just to let you know , my step-dad was told he was gonna
die at 47 , and he’s 50 at the moment , and doing pretty better . Maybe that will happen to your cat .
Aww , now ur gonna make me cry ( about the kitty )

PixarVixen - Heheh – I hope I didn’t make you tear up too much. It’ll be all
right. I prayed for you and your kitty last night.
gottalovepixar - Oh
dear – I hope your mom will be ok. Although, from the sound of it, she will do fine.
Heheh. I was alright, Mitch. Thank you for the kind words.

And GLP, best wishes to your mother. I hope she pulls through.

PixarVixen - You are most welcome.
Just a question:
Will you be posting any pictures of your cat here on Pixar Planet, so as that we
will all be able to remember her in the future, too?
PV, cry all you want. We are here for you when you need
us.
Great news! The vet left us a
message last night about Tiger’s blood work results. Internally, she is perfectly healthy! In fact, he said
she’s in such great shape for her age that she’s “like a 2-year-old”.
He also explained to us
that when most cats get tumors, they become anemic…but Tiger isn’t!
This means she’ll be able to
undergo surgery! I told mom I’m going to donate my Christmas money to help pay for it.
And Mitch, I’ll
have a photo of Tiger up later today.

PixarVixen - That’s
wonderful news, PixarVixen!!
And I can’t wait for that photo later…
Brilliant! That must be a
real relief.
wow , a mini-holiday miracle . If only it was really
a giant mosquito bite . Then it would be a really big holiday miracle .
