My Grandpa died today

He died about a hour ago. He was a good man. And he was the only grandpa I knew. But anyways, boy will miss my grandpa

I’m sorry to hear that. From your words, he seem to be a man of certain achievements. If you do not mind, maybe you want to share some traits and accomplishments your grandfather possessed?

Sorry to hear about your loss! All-ways remember him by treading in his footsteps.

Certainly, He was a very smart man when it came to mechanics. I think he made a River Barge i when my mom was still lived with them. And was able to fix about anything within reason that had a engine. My grandpa is my moms dad.

My grandpa was also strong when he was a little bit younger. Thats was before he had his first stoke 10 or 11 years ago. Being a strong man is also why he has lived so long. My told me a story that my gandpa told him. My Grandpa and grandma went to a Wrestling Match years ago. (Little foggy on the details here.) And I guess he got fed up after the one of the guys won the match. That he Jumped in the ring. And said somethin like: You think your so tough, then how about fighting a real man. The guy jumped outta the ring.

He also used to fly planes.

Thats all i can think of at the moment Wboon

Also age most likely did not kill him, he was 72. About 3 or 4 years ago. He had a car acident and ended up having to have one of his legs amputated. Then to have it amputated a couple or weeks later. And since then he has been getting progressively worse.

That’s so sad. =( I’m not treading on your beliefs or nothing, but I’m sure a part of him will never leave you and still lives on inside of you. I hope my words eased your sorrow a bit.

Be glad you had a good grandfather - both mine are terrible. One’s constantly cranky and the other’s a big helpless phony. :stuck_out_tongue: But the cranky one’s not so terrible … he likes to be spoken to- his wife rarely does so. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m so, so sorry to hear that, nightwheel. It sounds like he was a good man. May he rest in peace.

That is very sad news nightwheel. My condolences and sympathies to you and your family at this time.

I am so sorry to hear that nightwheel. He’s in a better place now. My sympathies to you and your family.

I hope he’s having a great time in heaven

I bet he is

UPDATE:
We are about to head over his viewing in a few minutes. So we got a hour and half drive to get there. And I probly won’t be back till late tonight.

Oh, the wake? I remember going to my uncle’s wake … I didn’t know him very well and hadn’t seen him for a while but because I’m way too sensitive I couldn’t help but cry … felt like a complete idiot considering I hadn’t seen him in years.

Good luck - hope it goes over well. Wakes can be so upsetting even if you don’t know the person.

Sorry to hear about that. One of my co-workers grandma only has a week or to to live as well.

Ok his funral was today. And we had a very long persetion. My grandpa was a very well and highly respected men is this area. And was a 3rd degree Mason. And was the mason for 42 years the day before he died. Boy am I going to miss him
