Napoleon Dynamite animated TV series

20th Century Fox has ordered a six-episode first season of an animated Napoleon Dynamite television series. All of the original cast of the film will return to reprise their roles. The show will be overseen by the film’s director, Jared Hess, his wife Jerusha, and former writer/producer/showrunner of The Simpsons, Mike Scully.

I’ve only seen bits and pieces of the film recently, but, if given the chance, this could be a long-running series with some huge potential.

Sweet!

Yeah, I saw this recently and it’s surprising to see a GOOD idea in the media news for once.

It actually doesn’t sound half-bad! :open_mouth:

Woah, really? YES! happy dance  I’ll watch it. Looks like enough to get me off my anti-TV kick.

What? Well, I have good and bad feelings about this one. I can’t wait to see it on the small screen, though.

Yay! I love Napoleon Dynamite!

What’s FFA?

Future Farmers of America, the largest youth orginization in the United States, it’s about Agriculture Education.

The first teaser for the series has been released:

I just lost a little bit of excitedness. I hope the next one is funnier.

Good thing I had EXTREMELY low expectations, because I ended up kind of liking the trailer. It wasn’t fantastic, but it was better then I thought it would be. I’ll definitely give this show a shot.

“Come on, Pedro, let’s rock this mother.”

“Can I have your tots…” WOOOO I will watch this for sure.

lol, I remember the movie. I may watch this.

I’m very interested to see more of this. I wonder if the show will be good or bad.

It actually looks like decent entertainment! And having the original cast is amazing!

I know, it’s awesome that they have all the original cast.

The cast was at Comic-Con recently to talk about the series. Here are some interviews with them along with executive producer Mike Scully:

The movie wasn’t that funny. It had it’s moments sure but really it was just mostly awkward. Maybe the t.v show could be an improvement

I disagree. I thought the movie was hilarious. but best of all, under all the idiocy, there was a heart. <3 Everyone needs friends. And at that point in my life, that thought meant so much to me.
