Welcome to Pixar Planet,
FallinPixar!
Interestingly enough, one of our other members has already
posted the first 2 images among your findings. You can read the discussion about them starting on this
page:

The images you have found are concept
drawings for characters done by Disney. Since Pixar has put a halt to the production of their version of
Toy Story 3, we will not be seeing these characters.
Cindy Scissors is
intriguing. I can see her legs are scissor blades as her name would indicate. Why on Earth would a toy company
market a doll like that in the first place?

i see~~ they’re created by disney…

PV- You’re right, that IS weird…I guess she could be like one of Sid’s weird
mutations, but by the looks of her design, she has been created with scissor legs in the first place. It might be
part of a twist in the original TS3 storyline, possibly where a company has been making toys that are dangerous
for children…but that would have to be quite discrete, since what parent would ever buy something like that for
their child in the first place?
Yeah the Cindy
Scissors character does look interesting. And it doesnt make sense that people would make a toy like that.
Unless, it was an actual pair of scissors designed to look like a character. I remember when I was little I had a
pair of kiddie scissors shaped like a monkey.
Yep , if you look closely , she is a pair of scissors . look on the last pic . and also , in the top pic of her
the way they drew it looks like they wanted it’s legs to open and close , like scissors .

Gee whiz – Cindy Scissors scares me a little bit. Sure,
it’s a very unique-looking design, but still…
Of course, you have to remember that it was Disney who
came up with these things in the first place, and Disney is no Pixar.
Cindy Sciscors would be most disagreeable. I mean, scissors are dangerous. So
why make a scissor toy?
The answer: Scissors are cool.
And add to that the fact that she looks nothing short of a Bratz doll…Yeah, this IS
very Disney-like.
God, I hate Bratz dolls, let me tell
you. I’m a Barbie girl.

I hate dolls, period; unless they have
that intriguing aura about them (like Woody and Jessie, for instance).
lizardgirl - Haha – my dad worked on those shows.
Mitch- Yeah, they sort of have to be really good
quality and at least somewhat cuddly. The fact that Woody and Jessie were both made out of a mix of plastic AND
material meant that they were huggable, but this scissor girl doesn’t look huggable at all!
Uggh, I don’t think they should add a whole bunch of new characters…Keep the
old guys for one more adventure!
The scissor girl makes no flipping sense at all. Really glad Pixar’s actually doing
the thing now and hopefully doing it the right way. It will take a lot to be better then Toy Story 2, considering
that’s my favorite Pixar film behind Incredibles.
JesusFreak: Yeah I kinda have to agree. The original had a lot of characters and TS2 added more. It would be
hard in TS3 to add still more characters and be able give them all a decent amount of film time.

OMG I can’t believe I’ve never seen these Disney
sketches before! They are HILARIOUS!
Firstly, the second sketch “Apology Bear”, looks like a
rip-off of either a Care Bear or Gummi Bear, and “Little D” the donkey looks like another
Bullseye.
I think one of the reasons why Cindy Scissors (such an imaginative name BTW) was recalled is
because, come on, she had scissors for legs which makes you wonder why she would have been sold in the first
place.
Lastly, is it just me or does “Don. B. B.” look very similar to Rosie from The
Jetsons?:

I can’t wait to come back after Toy Story 3 is released and compare Disney’s
characters to Pixar’s.
The thing abour Rosie is that she doesn’t have guns for
hands. The TS character does. I am guessing he is going to be the potential bad guy.
I think the thing with Cindy Scissors is similar to the
story of Buzz-Saw Louie from VeggieTales’ The Toy that Saved Christmas. Buzz-Saw
Louie had a real, working buzz-saw built into his left hand. Why would parents buy
such a toy for their children?
Because as long as it’s marketed correctly, children will
not be happy until they have it, and some parents will do anything to make their
kids happy. (See also “Tickle Me Elmo” and any of the video game consoles that come out at Christmas -
most recently PS3 and Wii.)

Sky - Haha
– yeah, that’s who “Don. B.B.” looks like! I was trying to think of what that character was similar
to, and now I know. (snigger) Disney sure is original, aren’t they?
KE -
Heh – I was thinking the same thing when I saw The Toy that Saved Christmas:
“Who would want to buy their kids a potentially dangerous item?”. But yeah, I see what you mean.
