They really can’t change it, not after officially
releasing a trailer.
JV - Oh no, I don’t think that they wil change his profile in the film at all! At
least, I hope they don’t… ![]()
Nah – I’m quite certain that Remy will stay the way he is. If Pixar
does make any changes to his overall features at all, it will be minor.
For example, do any of you
remember the old Finding Nemo teaser trailer? If you look closely at Dory, you will
notice that her design is a little bit different in the trailer than it is in the final film. Her colors are
darker, and she looks a little more like a male than a female. These features are very subtle, but still present.
So, if they do change Remy (or Rollie) at all, the differences will, more than likely, be almost
indistinguishable. Perhaps they will add more whiskers to his face or something – although, like you, I like him
just fine, JV. ![]()
LG: I know
its only 227 days untill it hits theaters it’s way to late to chang how he looks now. But as Mitch said the
changes would be really small.
Not really true. In the Incredibles, Bob Parr was really, really fat when he tried
to put his belt on. In the movie, he wasn’t that big.
I like the new theaters it looks cool!!!
TSS: That’s a very good point TSS.
Well, turns out that they did make some minor changes to Remy and
his brother, Emile.
I posted a picture of the two a little while back, and the minor changes are these:
Remy - Smoother fur texture; enhanced posture (more rat-like); fur on nose
and ears; slightly cuter, more intriguing expression.
Emile -
Different/Cuter profile; less pudgy posture; smoother fur; fur on nose and ears.
Like I said, these are
minor, yet noticeable, changes. However, I think these are also the last changes we will see with these two
particular characters.
Didn’t Remy change
color from before?
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. His
fur color was changed slightly, from blue…to a rather lighter blue. It’s fairly indistinct, but still there.
Personally, I kind of liked his old look better, concerning the fur arrangement. He looked more like a
sewer rat, but I suppose Pixar had to change that to a smoother texture to make him look more like a clean,
healthy rat than a garbage rodent.
As for the poster: Well, I’m still waiting for another new one. I’ve
started to see the most recent one (Remy and knives) pop up all over the place, which is a good sign. The more
this film is promoted, the better chance it has of doing good at the box office.
Maybe the reason why he changed colors was the lighting
of the sewer and the poster now.

I LOVE the Stef’s Sketches illustrations, particularly the one of
Remy and the wine bottle. They’re so simple, and yet, so captivating. I am
inspired.
