Anyone see this new poster?

I think I seen that same poster but on another topic.
JV has part of it as his
siggy .
I’ve also seen it on upcoming pixar . It’s kind of funny .
Yep – I’ve seen it. You can also see it on these following blogs:

Ratatouille Poster

(aka…my blog)
It took me
quite a while to get used to this new poster. Now, I think it’s awesome. ![]()
*Heh – I hope you don’t mind me posting up your blog link, JV. ![]()
Thanks okay AJ. The poster still looks hilarious. I laughed as soon as I saw
it.
JV - Heheh – thanks.
![]()
Yeah I checked for any topic about the
new poster, not thinking someone would post it in another thread.
hmmm - ya know - this poster just isn’t doing it for me
for some reason. It’s classic Bird with the comical tagline on an otherwise classic poster which I loved in The
Incredibles but for some reason this one isn’t tickling my funny bone - maybe it’s just too… uh…
“cheesy.” ![]()
Right now,
I’m just waiting for a poster where every character is displayed in one big setting. You all know what I mean
right?
TSS: Yeah you mean like that Cars one?
Exactly. And the Incredibles, Nemo, etc one. Yep, that
type. I hope they release a poster like that soon.
TSS: Yeah I hope they do to.
They have done it for like every Pixar movie so why should they not do it for Ratatouille?
Dash - Well…I didn’t
laugh either, so you’re not alone here. ![]()
The Star Swordsman - Hmm…yeah,
you (and JV) are probably right: more than likely, Pixar will release a
Ratatouille poster that will feature all of the characters from the film; however, a
one-sheet thing like this probably won’t be released until after this Christmas – maybe later, maybe sooner.
Personally, I’ve never been that enthusiastic with posters that display every single character from its
film predecessor on it – it’s just…too much information for me to take, for some odd reason. I prefer simple
pictures of characters, like the previous three Ratatouille posters we have seen.
But hey – that’s just me. ![]()
He’s dying to become a chef. - That’s my
sense of humour. ![]()
Ratatouille - I can’t wait!!! (And I mean that like I wrote that)
BTW: I
wonder how kids are receiving this poster. Do they think it’s funny or maybe a little terrifying because of the
lots of knives? I’m curious…
I think
the one thing that I don’t like about this poster is Remy’s expression and face generally. It just doesn’t
look…right to me. Apart from that, it’s simple and pretty effective.
That’s the trouble with the world today – no one has a sense of humor any
more.
(snigger)
Nah – I’m just kiddin’. Except for, perhaps, the very young kids, I’m sure that
most children are able to handle this poster just fine – I think it’s hilarious, in any case (the
concept/context of it, I mean). ![]()
lizardgirl - Exactly – I have the
same problem. Remy just looks a little too…“cartoony” for my taste – which is saying something,
because I’ve grown up around animators…
Maybe the reason why I’m not real crazy about it is because
I’m not used to seeing Pixar posters in this form – I dunno. ![]()
Exactly. He doesn’t even look like he does in the
trailer. His face is contorted and he just doesn’t look like Remy.
lizardgirl - Heh – perhaps that was the point, eh? Maybe
Pixar was trying to establish a new look or…something. ![]()
Yeah I don’t like how that trailer he doesn’t’ look like
remy.
