Honest to god I REALLY hope that word likes ‘fail!’, and those kind of stupid up to date phrases used by 12 year olds are not in the movie, and Lee Unkrich’s name on the messenger thing better just be promotional stuff, it would ruin the scene Usually i’m happy about seeing new clips, but this one’s poor i hope they re-do the scene if it’s the real thing…
Wow. I was never even aware of these until you mentioned them. Undoubtedly, this is a pretty interesting (in some cases, unusual) take on Pixar promotional material, specifically regarding how they clash rather adult themes against that of childhood toys. Kind of intriguing, actually…
Bear in mind that this is just promotional material, and any contemporary influences are probably an attempt to get (or stay) on today’s bandwagon; basically, they may be trying to appeal to an adolescent audience. It doesn’t bother me that much, because the way they handled it is… rather different from the way other companies advertise their films. At least, I think it is. (I haven’t watched T.V. in a while. Heh.) I can how this would worry you, but I wouldn’t be too concerned about it. Unless the Toy Story characters audibly engage in “text speak” in the film, I’ll let it slide.
Already posted in the teaser thread. and as we discussed there, these wont be in the movie, I guarantee it. these are just to market the movie to college students, for the cliffhanger screenings specifically.
Edit: also, one dead give away is that this doesnt even make sense, editing wise. you go from one shot of woody laying on his belly, to a shot of potatohead and woody on the right standing up.
