New Unannounced Pixar Project!

New Unannounced Pixar Project!

New Pixar film project announcements just come from everywhere do they? Well, you can add another one to the list! I can’t wait to hear more about it.

Could be one of our other rumored films. 1906 anybody???

It can’t be 1906, it’ all ready been announced. I don’t even really think 1906 is going to be for Pixar.

1906 has not been externally announced “officially” to my knowledge. And as far as I know it will be for Pixar since there has been no indication of Bird departing the company and we also know that Pixar does have other films with live action slated for the near future as well.

Dash - Near the end of the video (link below) Brad says the “He’s glad he still gets to stay at Pixar”, but I’ve looked at some videos where he talks about 1906, and he never say that he’s doing 1906 for Pixar.

[color=indigo:zko064cp]I don’t mean to sound rude, but, this news just doesn’t thrill me. Pixar will ALWAYS be working on something unannounced. I don’t get excited until I know what the heck we’re dealing with.

If I came here one day and posted, "Hey guys! Pixar is working on something new!"…"Cool! What is it?"…"I don’t know.", you’d all be like, :-\.

I know some of you guys are overanalytical about announcements like this one, but when there really isn’t material to discuss, why bother?

Okay, that’s enough outta me. Sorry if I’ve disturbed the peace. Carry on. ;-)

Yeah - nothing I haven’t seen before.

But as I said - if he IS doing 1906 and NOT leaving Pixar - the only logical conclusion is that 1906 WILL be for Pixar.

I’m sticking to that until he names a different company.

Look, I cannot see this film being released till 2011/2012 at the earliest so this is WAY to early to be speculating about it too much.

Oh and I’m with Dash on this one. 1906 will be a Pixar film. Just to speculate on 1906 for a second, live action films don’t take as long to make as CG films, so could we see Pixar release a live action film in the same year as a CG film from Pixar?

I just emailed a very reliable source who wants to remain anonymous about 1906.

Here was my qustion: So 1906 is not a Pixar film? It’s just a Brad Bird film?
The person replied: pixar is involved to some degree in brad’s film.

BTW: I posted this topic because this is a Pixar forum, so I thought you guys would like to know, just like me. Also I love to know what Pixar’s cooking up next and thought you guys would as well.

Hmm, I can’t get to exited either…it’s just one of those “unknown” ones at this point. Oh well…

JV - Well, seems to me Pixar would do the creative and possibly the animation/effects work - they’ll hire a production company for the actual fimlming, IMO.

Eh. I suppose we should just wait until more information on the subject is revealed. I appreciate you posting about it though, [b:1axmq2hb]JV[/b:1axmq2hb]. Thanks for the news! ;)

Puh-ha! That was funny. I laugh at everything… Heh. Pardon me for my outbreak of chuckles. Carry on… :P

I agree with PV.

And personally, I wouldn’t want to snoop around on films that are years in the making. Production could change completely, and sometimes even be put off altogether. So, I think we should just wait until a trailer comes out.

The way you guys find out things that quick scares me. :open_mouth: Dreamworks would love to hire you.

Speaking of Pixar doing effects; I remember watching the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen a few years back and a scene underwater where some bombs went off. The explosions underwater looked terrible compared to Nemo’s underwater explosions. I honestly think, even though Pixar isn’t a VFX company, and they don’t have as much experience in that area as say ILM or Weta, I think they ought to watch their backs because there’s a good chance Pixar could take the oscar home for special effects in a few years time.

Ahh - I never thought of Pixar taking some sort of award home for VFX…that’s interesting. I definitely think they could do it!

Shh! Don’t give them any ideas! :stuck_out_tongue:

PV - HAHAHAHA !!! That was hysterical, and you’re right. I’m the only one who would want to work at DreamWorks Animation as well as Pixar. But if they try to pry information regarding the single best animation studio in history, then I have this to say to them, " Where do I sign the papers that say " I QUIT" ?

Bill - Amen! :stuck_out_tongue:

I wouldn’t be surprised if they did that. How else do you think DW gets its “original” ideas?

Oh SNAP! You SO went there, rachelcakes. Haha.
